Abstract

Communication is central in human life. All activities in human life require communication. The scientific study of the symptoms or reality of communication covers a very broad field, covering all forms of human relations and using symbols. more concretely this includes fields such as Interpersonal Communication, Group Communication, Organizational/Intellectual Communication, Mass Communication and Cultural Communication as seen in various forms of symbolic expression. Noting the seven traditions of communication research as such, communication research seems to be facing an important issue for its development in the present and future, which is pleased with how to try to take steps to get out of the confines of tradition and / or bring together existing traditions. This effort might be in the form of combining one tradition with another existing tradition (trying to synthesize existing traditions) while pioneering an entirely new tradition, for example with a more extensive implementation of historical methods to discover how communication patterns exists in a society in the past and attempts to understand what is now by looking at the past.

Abstract

Political personality is the result of moving a private area into a public domain. Political behavior is also determined by the interaction and struggle of the politician's personality. Studies through the perspective of political psychology help us in understanding one's political behavior. This paper examines the personality and political behavior with the vision of the late K.H.R. Ach. Fawaid As'ad, one of the local political figures Pandhalungan from Islamic Boarding School Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Sukorejo Situbondo. The study used a qualitative approach of ethnographic-hermeneutic type. Data comes from documents and field notes. Result: Personality Kiai Fawaid, which has the character of patience and sincerity (dimension of neurotism); socializing, energetic, and dominant (extraversion dimensions); artistic, open to new ideas, and uphold the values of Islamic Boarding School (dimension of openness to experience), forgiving and altruism (dimension of agreeableness); discipline; organizational, and obedient rules (conscientiousness dimension). Kiai Fawaid makes political decisions-political parties or candidates in the election because of political considerations as a means of NU's struggle and for the benefit of the ummah. As for its implementation, it goes to political parties to improve the system and organize the nation starting from the district level. Kiai Fawaid's political behavior is related to the character of his personality, especially the dimensions of openness to experience and agreeableness

Abstract

Strategi dakwah merupakan alat untuk mencapai tujuan dalam menyebarkan ajaran Islam ke muka bumi, yang penyampaiannya diwajibkan kepada setiap muslim, yang mukalaf sesuai dengan kadar kemampuannya. Adapun strategi dakwah Nyai Hj.. Qurrotul Faizah di Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Al- As’adiayah yaitu metode mauizhatul hasanah, metode bil hikmah dengan lisaanul al-hal dan uswatun hasanah, melihat situasi dan keadaan masyarakat serta memilih materi yang sesuai dengan kemampuan mad’u. Sedangkan faktor pendukung strategi dakwah Nyai Hj.. Qurrotul Faizah di Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Al-As’adiayah adalah daya kabul yang tinggi, putri dari pasangan yang sudah tidak diragukan lagi keilmuan dan kealiman beliau, dukungan keluarga (anak dan saudara), dan membentuk koordinator-koordinator penanggung jawab pengajian Zikir Samawi serta para santri-santrinya. Sementara penghambat strategi dakwah Nyai Hj.. Qurrotul Faizah di Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Al-As’adiayah adalah jamaahnya terkadang tidak hadir dikarenakan ada halangan peribadi misalkan sakit, bekerja dll. Dan penghambat lain yang masih berkelanjutan sampai sekarang adalah masalah kurangnya air dan jalan menuju tempat lokasi pengajian Zikir Samawi yang sangatlah sederhana (jalan belum diaspal).

Abstract

Da'wah can also be called Islamic communication. In practice, da'wah is more interpreted as the delivery of Islamic teachings by a preacher. Sometimes preaching like this, more nuanced entertainment, so that afterwards does not cause a positive effect on the object of preaching. This is very different from the preaching done by KH. Achmad Muzakki Syah on the recitation of the recitation of the recitation of manakib Sheikh Abdul Qodir Jailani in PP. Al-Qodiri Jember. Where preaching, he can provide peace, accepted, and practiced by the object. The findings of this study are: First, the da'wah strategy is a therapeutic da'wah with the bi al-hikmah method and the bil thing method, namely by istiqamah praying for Muslims worldwide, fond of giving charity, and morality of the mercy, tahadduts bi an-ni'mah, utilizing family competence, and form the coordinator of the management. Second, the supporting factors of the da'wah strategy are family support, patient and forgiving personalities, high power, and strange events. While the inhibiting factor of the da'wah strategy is the emergence of slander that he uses the science of pellets, the help of jinn, and religious engineering

Abstract

Abstract According to the definition of society from generation to generation, the rokat pandhaba tradition is a ritual to save a pandhaba child from bad luck and evil. as well as a medium to protect from all forms of distress which is symbolized by the disturbance of the bhatarakala by the community, and is said to be disturbing the life journey of a pandhaba child. Rokat pandhaba is a tradition that has been preserved for generations by the people of Jatisari Arjasa village, Arjasa district, Situbondo district. This article will discuss how the symbolic interaction of the pandhaba tradition. The method used is a qualitative method because the research subject that is the focus is on the symbolic interaction of the pandhaba tradition. The results show that from this ruwat or rokat pandhaba culture, there is a philosophy that the problem of destiny must be believed in. Humans do not need to run to things that are idolatrous, humans are only assigned to try. This tradition is a ceremony to symbolically get rid of bad luck by bathing the pandhaba child, which people usually call muang setan in the Madurese language. In it there is a reading of stories or ancient stories from the five pandavas about the expulsion of jinn or demons in the form of misfortune in humans to obtain salvation
