Abstract

The study was aimed at assesing the effects of the aplication of organic and syntheticfertilizer on the growth and production of soybean. Four levels of organic fertilizer, namely noorganic fertilizer (0 ton ha -1), 0,5 x recomended rate (10 ton ha -1), 1 x recomended rate (20 ton ha -1) and 1,5 recomended rate (30 ton ha -1). The second factor was sinthetic fertilizer in fourlevels, namely no synthetic (0 ton ha -1), 0,5 x recomended rate (Urea 75 kg ha -1, SP-36 75 kg ha - 1, KCl 50 kg ha -1), 1 x recomended (Urea 150 kg ha -1, SP-36 150 kg ha -1, KCl 100 kg ha -1), and1,5 x recomende (Urea 225 kg ha -1, SP-36 225 kg ha -1, KCl 150 kg ha -1). Result show that theaplication of both organic and synthetic fertilizer gave significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, number of flowers, number of branches, leaf widht, number of total pods, number of pods containing 1, 2 and 3 seeds, fresh and dry weight of pods, fresh weight of roots, number of nodes,fresh weight of nodes, and fresh and dry weight of canopy. Interaction effect of organic andsynthetic fertilizer were found on dry weight of root, dry weight of nodes and dry weight ofbiomass.Keywords: edamame, organic fertilizer, synthetic fertilizer, pods

Abstract

The study was aimed at assessing the effects of the application of different rates of cattle compost manure and N, P, K fertilizer on the growth and production of mustard greens. The study was done from May to June 2013 at Agrotechnology Trial Farm of Djuanda University. A factorial completely randomized design with two factors was used. The first factor was cattle compost manure in four levels, namely 0 ton/ha (R), 5 ton/ha (0,5 R), 10 ton/ha (R), and 15 ton/ha (1,5 R). The second factor was N, P, K fertilizer in four levels, namely 0 kg/ha (0 R), Urea 187 kg/ha + SP-36 155.5 kg/ha + KCl 112 kg/ha ( 0.5 R), Urea 374 kg/ha + SP-36 311 kg/ha + KCl 224 kg/ha ( R), and Urea 561 kg/ha + SP-36 466.5 kg/ha + KCl 336 kg/ha ( 1.5 R). Results showed that no interaction effect was found on all parameters measured except on the shoot diameter at 2 weeks after planting (WAP). Increasing rates of cattle compost manure did not give significant effects on all parameters measured except on number of leaves at 2 WAP. Increasing rates of N,P,K fertilizer were found to significantly increase the growth and production of mustard greens. This positive effects were found on plant height, number of leaves, and trunk diameter at 2, 3, and 4 WAP and shoot diameter at 3 and 4 WAP. Shoot wet and dry weights of plants in 1.5 R, N, P and K were significantly higher than those in other treatments.Keywords: Brassica juncea L., cattle manure,N, P, and K

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komposisi pupuk organik cair dengan nutrisi hidroponik terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman selada (Lactuca sativa L.). Penelitian dilakukan di greenhouse Universitas Djuanda Bogor. Kegiatan dimulai pada bulan Januari hingga Februari 2016. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) satu faktor yaitu pencampuran pupuk organik cair (POC) dan nutrisi hidroponik (AB Mix). Perlakuan terdiri atas lima taraf, yaitu P1 (0% POC, 100% AB Mix), P2 (25% POC, 75% AB Mix), P3 (50% POC, 50% AB Mix), P4 (75% POC, 25% AB Mix), dan P5 (100% POC, 0% AB Mix). Tinggi tanaman selada tertinggi terdapat pada P3 dengan komposisi 50% POC dan 50% AB Mix (23.00 cm). Jumlah daun tertinggi sebanyak 10 helai yaitu pada P2 dengan komposisi 25% POC dan 75% AB Mix. Bobot total tanaman pada 30 HST (masa panen) tertinggi terdapat pada P2 yaitu (64.10 g). Tanaman yang diberi nutrisi hidroponik AB Mix dengan komposisi 50% atau lebih akan berpeluang lebih tinggi untuk mendapatkan hasil yang optimal baik dari tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun ataupun bobot total pada masa panen.Kata kunci: selada, hidroponik, pupuk organik cair hidroponik

Abstract

Effect of IBA and Cow Urine Concentrations on the Growth of Pepper CuttageABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi IBA dan urin sapi terhadap pertumbuhan setek tanaman lada. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli sampai dengan September 2014 di Kebun Percobaan Agroteknologi Universitas Djuanda Bogor. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap dengan dua faktor. Faktor pertama adalah konsentrasi IBA (0 ppm, 200 ppm, 225 ppm, dan 250 ppm) dan faktor kedua adalah konsentrasi urin sapi (0%, 15%, 20% dan 25%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan konsentrasi IBA tidak berpengaruh terhadap semua peubah yang diamati, kecuali pada persentase setek hidup pada umur 4 MST. Setek lada yang diberi urin sapi 20%  memiliki persentase setek hidup, persentase setek berakar, panjang akar, jumlah akar dan jumlah tunas lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan yang diberi perlakuan konsentrasi lain. Setek lada yang diberi urin sapi 0% menghasilkan persentase setek bertunas pada umur 4 dan 10 MST, panjang tunas pada umur 6-8 MST lebih baik dibandingkan yang diberi urin sapi dengan konsentrasi lebih tinggi. Kata kunci: Persentase setek hidup, persentase setek berakar, panjang akar, jumlah tunas ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the effect of IBA and cow urine concentrations on the growth of pepper cuttage. The research was conducted from July to September 2014 at Agrotechnology Experiment Garden of Djuanda University, Bogor. The experimental design used was completely randomized design with two factors. The first factor was IBA concentrations (0 ppm, 200 ppm, 225 ppm, and 250 ppm) and the second factor was cow urine concentrations (0%, 15%, 20% and 25%). The results showed that IBA concentration did not affect all observed variables, except in live crop percentage at age 4 MST. A pepper cuttage treated with 20% cow urine has live percentage, percentage of cuttings rooted, root length at age, root number and number of shoots higher than those treated with other concentrations. The pepper cuttage treated with 0% cow urine yielded the percentage of cuttings sprouted at ages 4 and 10 MST, the shoot lengths at 6-8 MST were better than those given higher concentrations of cow urine. Key word: percentage of rooted cuttage

Abstract

Effect of Pipe Slope on Growth and Production of Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) in NFT Hydroponic SystemABSTRACT            This research was aimed to study the effects of pipe slope on the  growth and production of three lettuce variety in NFT (nutrient film technique) system. A split plot completely randomized design was used with pipe slope levels, namely 6%, 9 %, and 12% as the main plot and cultivar (New Red Fire, Express  and Kribo) as the sub plot. Results showed that pipe slope levels were not affected all of the variables.  Meanwhile lettuce cultivar New Red Fire showed growth and production (number of leaf, leaf area, root lenght, shoot wet and dry weight crown,  root wet and dry weight,  biomass total dry wet) better than ‘Express’ and ‘Kribo’.Key words:  split plot, number of leaves, biomass total, NFT                                                              ABSTRAK             Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tingkat kemiringan pipa pada sistem hidroponik NFTterhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tiga varietas selada. Penelitian dilakukan dengan Rancangan acak lengkap pola Split Plot. Petak utama adalah tingkat kemiringan pipa (6 %, 9 %, dan 12 %), sedangkan anak petak adalah kultivar (New Red Fire,  Express dan Kribo). Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa tingkat kemiringan pipa tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap semua peubah yang diamati. Sementara itu, selada kultivar New Red Fire menunjukkan pertumbuhan dan produksi (jumlah daun, luas daun, panjang akar, bobot basah pucuk, bobot basah akar, bobot basah total, bobot basah dan kering pucuk, bobot basah dan kering akar dan bobot kering brangkasan total lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kultivar Express dan Kribo.   Kata kunci: split plot, jumlah daun, NFT, brangkasan total
