Abstract

Abstract

Continuity of the production process in a company will be influenced by various factors, including: capital, technology, supplies of raw materials, finished goods and labor supply. Inventory as elements of working capital is an asset that is always in a state of spinning. Supplies are also elements of seamless assets that are always considered liquid compared with other asset elements such as cash, Receivables, and marketable securities. Adequate supply of raw materials can accelerate the production process. So that the resulting finished goods can assure the effectiveness of marketing activities. PT. Mamuang Pasangkayu (North Mamuju Regency) as one of palm oil plantation management under the PT Astra Indonesia. Oil Palm Factory owned by PT Mamuang is one unit where MCC Mamuang currently acquires supplies from its core gardens and plasma gardens. PT Mamuang Pasangkayu was established in June 2006 and produced CPO/crude palm oil and PK/palm kernel. At the beginning of the factory, raw materials were obtained from several CV and Pasangkayu PTP Garden. Pt. Mamuang Pasangkayu still has constraints in its business that the production of a garden they have not enough to fulfill the needs of the factory while the supply from other gardens is not much because of the new rejuvenation process. In addition to the supply of FFB (fresh fruit bunch) acquired, since September 2007 is no longer brought to the furnace RIMDU because of consideration of large transportation costs. Moreover, changes in the CPO price in the world market also affect the number of demand and supply. Fluctuations in CPO prices affect the manufacturing process. This will also affect the amount of production produced. Price increases and price declines require rapid anticipation so that the company can adapt to the changes that occur.

Abstract

Analog rice can be developed from modified cassava flour (MOCAF) and modified Suweg (Amorphophallus campanulatus) flour (MSF). This research aims to study the physical and nutritional characteristics of analog rice made from a combination of MOCAF and MSF. Analog rice was formulated from both flour with MOCAF: MSF ratios (w/w), among others (100: 0), (90: 10), (80:20), (70:30), (60:40), and (50:50). The dough was printed in an extruder and dried so that it becomes analog rice. The results showed that changes in the MOCAF: MSF ratio cause significant changes to the physical characteristics and nutrients of analog rice. Interestingly, the increasing amount of MSF in the formulation causes the weight of one hundred grains, bulk density, protein, water, ash, and crude fiber in analog rice to rise. However, water absorption, color brightness, fat, and carbohydrates in analog rice was fell 54%, 17%, 23%, 4%, respectively. Therefore, analog rice produced from MOCAF and MSF can be a source of food to maintain the nation's food security.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the income from cayenne pepper farming before and during the COVID-19 pandemic in Galung Lombok Village, Tinambung District, Polewali Mandar Regency. The locus was chosen because it is one of the sweet and chili producing areas, and most of the population works as cayenne pepper farmers. The total respondents in this study were 27 cayenne pepper farmers. This study used a quantitative descriptive method by filling out a questionnaire given to farmers. The data obtained were then analyzed using a paired T-test. The results showed that there were significant differences in the production and income of cayenne pepper farmers before and during the COVID-19 pandemic, While the total production increased significantly, the total income of farmers decreased significantly during the pandemic. The results of this study can be used as a consideration for the government in determining policy, especially regarding the price of cayenne pepper during a pandemic, and not only focusing on policies at the upstream level.
