Abstract

Increasing the amount of induction motor power available then the current on the induction motor will grow larger but to reduce the current is too large can be overcomeby increasing the voltage or increased voltage. In addition, one of the disadvantages of the induction motor is not able to maintain its speed with a constant when there is achange of load. If there is a change in load then the speed of the induction motor will decrease. Based on the results of the repeater design performed shows that a largeinduction motor that is Start UP BFP (Boiler Feed Pump) with 5191 KW at flood pumps Pluit Reservoir North Jakarta can be started directly if the flicker problem can be solvedimmediately and using spindle feeder network by considering relay aspect Used, both the inverse relay and the instant trip relay. The design results using almunium cablemeasuring 95 mm2 for 20KV voltage and 400mm2 almunium cable for 10KV voltage, 20 / 10KV transformer.

Abstract

Cable conditions of different loads, both medium and high, can be deployed on open or closed wiring racks. On the open cable rack is not trapped, but on the cable rack closed strongly conducting cable current is strongly influenced air. This is because inside the closed cable rack itself between the mass surface of the cable and the lid of the rack there is trapped air. This trapped air is a heat insulation that can affect the heat energy of the cable mass so it is not easy to flow into the surrounding air. Temperature increases in the mass of cables with different cable loads will affect the current carrying strength of the cables. Based on the above problems it is necessary to review the effect of load diversity on the current carrying strength of cables, especially on the closed cable rack and environmental temperature factors outside the cable. From the results of the research it is found that the more number of high-loaded cables NYY (Heavily Loaded cables) then the current carrying strength decreases. But the greater the diameter of the cable then the conductivity of the current will be greater. This is indicated by the average increase for the cable NYY with diameter 16 mm2, 25 mm2 and 50 mm2of 17.97 A.

Abstract

At the time a given voltage power transformer there will be symptoms of transient inrush magnetization. This magnetization inrush can cause the magnetization inrush current at power transformer primary coil. This inrush currents perceived as a fault, and therefore at the same time differential relay can not distinguish them from the real fault current, the inrush current will be seen as an internal disorder which should be extinguished. Overcome the inrush current method is to delay, detain or block the relay so that the differential element during transient inrush relay state is not going to work. In this paper will be discussed studies on the effects of inrush current at the differential relay in substation duri kosambi.
