Abstract

Many countries in the world have incorporated social work into their education systems. This is since many cultures have found creative ways to help improve their communities through traditional means. In addition, many have taken advantage of practices from their native cultures to add new perspectives to social work. Currently, there is a shortage of academic material on Islamic social work. The authors predict that this will be corrected soon due to increased academic interest. In this era, a personal perspective is presented on the dilemmas and ambiguities posed by Islamic religious education and social work in Indonesia.

Abstract

Taking a theoretical approach, this paper explores the concept of educational innovation within Higher Education and the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as a fundamental tool for achieving it. It aims to demonstrate how universities are now producers of knowledge operating within a new cultural and paradigmatic shift, whereby ICT has facilitated a continuous process of transformation and improvement. Additionally, mobile phones and other devices have become a common feature in the classroom, and can play a vital role in the learning process, however, it falls on teachers to determine how to best utilize them. The challenge of innovation is thus presented to educators. The importance of technological innovation has become a pressing issue in the digital age, with a consensus among the scientific community that educational innovation is inextricably linked to digital technologies.

Abstract

Throughout this chapter, my aim has been to emphasize different aspects of two distinct perspectives. The first perspective belongs to a researcher who recollects his past as a student in a communist country, and interprets his life experiences through the lens of his impact on his education and teaching profession. The second perspective is that of a researcher who looks to the future, despite limited resources, with a desire to connect with global research in his area of interest: educational ethics. Our research in the field of educational ethics draws inspiration and support from international studies such as philosophical works, moral psychology, and resources from sociology, organizational psychology, and pedagogy. As for expected trends in comparative and international education, I have divided them into three categories:: The trends in comparative education research can be categorized into three main themes: the application of a comparative lens to various educational themes such as history, philosophy, curriculum, sociology, politics, and psychology; the integration of quantitative and qualitative methodologies to support research; and the potential impact of global models on inspiring local initiatives that cannot be replicated.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon that occurs in today's society, namely the role of parents is needed in the distance learning process. Parents as motivators in providing motivation, attention and also support for children during learning activities. The specific purpose of the researcher is to find out the role of the family (parents) as a motivator in increasing students' learning motivation in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic. And to find out the various obstacles and solutions faced by the role of the family as a motivator in increasing student learning motivation in the Covid-19 pandemic era. This researcher uses a qualitative method with descriptive analysis. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The results of the research on the role of families in increasing students' learning motivation during the Covid-19 pandemic show that parents have high enthusiasm in teaching their children at home, especially mothers who accompany their children more all the time. There are parents who pay less attention to their children's learning because they have very busy jobs so that children learn on their own, but there are also parents who are very concerned about their children's school assignments and guide and direct them. The obstacles and solutions in this research are factors that constrain the occurrence of the online learning process carried out by students / students, including: lack of time given by parents, lack of parental knowledge about children's learning, lack of facilities and infrastructure provided by parents, On the other hand there are solutions to support the occurrence of online learning, but only apply to parents who are able and have a lot of time as follows: 1) educators, namely nurturing, educating, fostering and training children so that they achieve developmental tasks appropriately and optimally, 2) people parents as motivators, in this case parents must always provide encouragement to their children to have a passion for learning, especially studying at home as a support for successful achievement in school. 3) facilitator, parents must provide facilities, fulfill family/child needs in the form of clothing, food and shelter, including speed oh education. and 4). Parents as mentors, the role of parents is to accompany, and guide their children in learning and provide assistance to children when experiencing learning difficulties. Constraints and solutions are used as motivation to make learning at home more optimal
