Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe the work situation variables, achievement motivation on the performance of Islamic education (PAI) lecturer in creating effective learning in the Department of PAI. This study is a combination of quantitative  and qualitative methodss  (mixed methods)  obtained from observation, questionnaire, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed through  statistics. Qualitative data were analyzed  by using data reduction, categorization, and data verification  and conclusions. The working athmosphere contributes 48.7%  to the influence on the lecturer  performance  work and the motivation contributes  43.0% to the impact on the lecturer performance. Work situation and achievement motivation respectively affect the work performance of 58.3%. Learning approach used is expository approach, the inquiry, and emotional approach. It was also  used PAKEM approach and an approach that is Andragogy. The learning method applied in this research is multi method in the form of active active learning. PAI lecturers used printed media, dicussion paper, and  electronic media. Keywords: Effective learning,  PAI, performance.Copyright © 2015 by Al-Talim All right reserved

Abstract

A professional teacher -  the one who does not only master the subject, but also be competent in selecting certain model – is really needed to carry out the teaching and learning process.  One of the alternative learning models that may activate students is Student-Centered Learning (SCL).  This model provides students with the opportunity to actively participate independently in his learning, be responsible and initiate to his learning needs.

Abstract

Learning is a process of knowledge development, skill, and attitude through intensive interaction with learning resources. Learning by playing to the the children provide a chance to manipulate, reiterate, explore, practice, take many concepts. Learning by fun is a process of learning in fun and meaningful situation that can attract students’ interest to be involve actively, so that learning purpose can be achieve maximally.

Abstract

            The purpose of this study was to determine the difficulties experienced by students and the factors that make it difficult for students to answering the questions the mathematical connection of the XI IPA MAN class of Kota Pariaman. The type of research used in this research is descriptive research with  qualitative approach. The subjects of this research were all students of class XI IPA 2 who were enrolled in the first semester of the 2018/2019 academic year. The research source is worked as qualitative data source is consists of 6 students who are distinguished based on mathematical connection ability. Data collection is done through tests and interviews. The results showed that the difficulties of students in answering the questions mathematical connection, namely (1) lack of understanding of the mathematical concepts that had been learned (2) difficulties connections mathematical concepts that were previously known in problems solving (3) difficulties using the principle of inequality in describing the graph of the settlement area (4) lack of mastery of procedures in problems solving verbal or story problems. Factors that cause difficulty in learning mathematics includes; difficulty understanding the meaning of problem, less in understanding the concept; difficulty in counting; carelessness or uncarefuly

Abstract

The ability of students in this school is low in understanding the questions given by the teacher. As a result they find it difficult to know the steps on how to solve the problem. Efforts that can be done are implementing Polya's steps.Quasi-experimental research was conducted in this study with the Randomized Control Group Only Design. Students of class VIII at this school are used as population. The experimental class is class VIIIA and the control class is class VIIIB. Final test data in the form of essays obtained were analyzed by t test. The result is the average problem solving ability with the application of Polya's steps, 78.23 and the control class, 72.38, with achievement in the experimental class 81% and in the control class, 48%. After being analyzed, t_count = 2.33 and t_table = 1.68 with a confidence level of 95% so that t_count > t_table (2.33 > 1.68), meaning that the proposed hypothesis is accepted and the ability of students in solving problems using Polya steps is higher rather than without applying these steps.

Abstract

The high need for Islamic character-based education, both in the learning process and in extracurricular activities, especially in the religious field. Problems found in the field are lack of student time discipline, untidy clothing, ignorance of prayers, inappropriate use of speech, lack of proper lip service, and a high focus on improving student learning competencies alone. This study aims to describe the types of Islamic character-based education programs in religious extracurricular activities in MAN 1 Padang, explain these activities carried out at MAN 1 Padang, and describe the results of Islamic character-based education for students participating in this activity at MAN 1 Padang. Descriptive method is used with a qualitative approach. Data informants are advisors on religious extracurricular activities, principals, deputy heads of student affairs, trainers and students. Data were collected through observation, and interviews, and analyzed through descriptive analysis techniques, and validity testing with data triangulation techniques. The research findings are: type of Islamic character-based education program in extracurricular religious activities in MAN 1 is part of a religious activity program, where the methods and materials used contain Islamic characters, Islamic character-based education is carried out outside hours of curricular activities with a specified time each week, with material developed from Islamic Religion, developed with relevant methods and supported by existing facilities; and religious activities are able to educate the Islamic character of students. The Islamic character is seen from the religious activities of Rohis, Hadrah and Nasyid.

Abstract

The problems encountered in the field are still students who have truant behavior during class hours, do not attend school without information. This study describes the behavior of students who frequent truancy, the factors that cause truancy, the role of guidance and counseling teachers in overcoming truancy. Qualitative descriptive research method with the type of research field research. The data sources come from guidance and counseling teachers, subject teachers, and students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study are: (1) the forms of behavior of students who often skip truancy in various ways, such as without permission, asking for permission to leave by pretending to be sick and often leaving during class hours, (2) the cause of truant students is influenced by factors internal and external. Internal factors, students are lazy in learning and prefer to watch YouTube and play games, lazy with subject teachers who are often angry, and bored of being in class and because they have not completed assignments or homework. External factors are the existence of calls from peers, (3) the role of guidance and counseling teachers in overcoming truancy behavior of students is to direct, guide students to be better.

Abstract

The very fast growth of the era requires mental readiness to face the dynamics of the industrial revolution era 4.0. Lecturers of Islamic Education, in addition to being educators and teachers as well as leaders. For this reason, a lecturer in Islamic Education who understands his role is needed so that he can carry out his leadership function optimally in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. This library research was conducted by examining various literatures and analyzes regarding the leadership of Islamic education lecturers in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. The data collection technique was carried out by analyzing various available sources on leadership for Islamic Education lecturers in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. The lecturer of Islamic Education as a leader puts forward a work ethic in leading based on a calling, leading with willpower, leading sincerely, leading thoroughly, leading creatively, leading excellently. Lecturers of Islamic Education have roles as role models, inspirers, agents of change, developers of Islamic culture in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. All parties need to work together to improve the quality of learning in facing the threats and challenges in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 optimally.
