Abstract

Rice is one of strategic foods in Indonesia that can affect the inflation. Indonesian people and goverment have done many efforts to increase the national rice production, for example by extensification. However, it can not be said success because the rate of land transformation from rice field to other usages is much higher that the rate of extensification itself. Rice field transformation reaches 145.000 hectares each year. Due to that condition, growing rice in dry land (padi gogo) is a good alternative to improve national rice production. Longterm objective of this research is to create superior variety of dry land rice. The variety not only should be well adapted to Bengkulu Province climate and weather condition but also liked by local consumers. This research used split plot design as the use of ameliorant (farmyard manure and bokashi compost) as the main plot and 15 genotypes of dry land rice from cross breeding as the sub-plot. Result of research showed that there are 5 genotipe which tolelaran to poisoned of aluminium that is ( UNHZ 5, UNHZ 23, UNHZ 24, UNHZ 29 and UNHZ 31. The most highest production rice genotypes based on its lifespan are UNHZ 31

Abstract

This research aimed to know: a) influence of cow slurry organic fertiliser on growth and yield of sweet corn, b) best dosage level of cow slurry organic fertiliser on growth and yield of sweet corn to substiture NPK chemical fertiliser. This research used Randomized Blocked Design in single factor with six treatments and four replication. The results showed that 1) the application of cow slurry organic fertiliser made significant different on the growth and yield of sweet corn. 2) Application of 400 kg Urea per hectar (96 g/plot), 350 kg SP36 per hectar (84 g/plot) dan 100 kg KCl per hectar (24 g/plot) gave the best growth and yield of sweet corn. 3) Application of liquid organic fertiliser at 5000 l/ha was the most optimal for growth and yield of sweet corn compared to all other cow slurry dosage level.

Abstract

The study of catfish waste water macro nutrient potential was aimed to emphasize level of pH, nitrogen, phosphor, potasium, c-organic and C/N ratio in catfish waste water. Based on our research it was found that the level of pH was 7-8, N in liquid waste was 0.98-1.67% with an average of 1.32% and N in solid waste was 1.99 – 13.97 % with an average of 6.23 %, P in liquid waste was 1.89 – 3.40 % with an average of 2.64 % and P in solid waste was 4.10-4.69 % dengan rata-rata 4.46 % and Potassium in liquid waste was 0.01-1.03 % dengan rata-rata 0.35 % and Potassium in solid waste was 2.31-4.09 % dengan rata-rata 3.21 %. Furthermore, the level C-organic in liquid waste was 0.28-0.98 % with an average of 0.63 % and in solid waste 16.28 – 24.64 % with average 21.67%. In addition, C/N ratio in solid waste was about 1.71-12.38 % with average of 6.71%. The nutrient levels in liquid waste did not meet requirement of Indonesia Agricultural Ministry as liquid organic fertiliser, but pH level did. However, the nutrients in solid level did meet the requirement from the ministry number 70 year 2011 and meet the national standard SNI-19-7030-2004. Unfortunately, C/N ratio in both liquid and solid waste did not meet the requirement and SNI standard.
