Abstract

Gummy candies paracetamol is chew candy containing the active subtance paracetamol with sweetener of sorbitol and cassava liquid sugar. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variations in the concentration of sorbitol and cassava liquid sugar as sweeteners on the physical properties of gummy candies paracetamol. Formulation of paracetamol gummy candies using diference concentration of sorbitol (20%, 15%, 10%) and cassava liquid sugar (40%, 45%, 50%).was used as the method pre-experimental design research method with one-shot case study design. Testing the physical properties of the preparations that have become chewing gum includes organoleptic tests, weight uniformity tests, pH tests and then the results are compared with the requirements in the literature. The results of the research on the physical properties of paracetamol gummy candy concluded that variations in the concentration of sorbitol sweetener and cassava liquid sugar had an effect on the uniformity of weight. Variations in the concentration of sorbitol sweetener and cassava liquid sugar did not affect the physical organoleptic properties of aroma, color, taste, texture, and physical properties of pH.Keywords : paracetamol, gummy candies, sorbitol, cassava liquid sugar

Abstract

Diarrhea is influenced by several factors, including environmental conditions, community behavior, community services, nutrition, population, education which includes knowledge, and socio-economic conditions. Diarrhea is defecation in the form of liquid more than three times in one day and lasts for two or more days. The cause of diarrhea is mostly due to infection.Prevention of diarrhea that can be done is to continue breastfeeding, formula milk, and solid baby food, give ORS or sugar-salt solution to replace lost fluids, give foods that contain fiber, and give zinc for 10 consecutive days. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of mother's knowledge of the use of zinc in toddlers with diarrhea in Karang Pring RW 01, Sumber Jeruk village in the realm of knowing, understanding, and application. The method used is descriptive method with cross sectional analysis research design. In this study, the researcher used a validated questionnaire instrument. The sampling technique used total sampling and obtained 44 samples.Based on the results of data analysis, it was obtained that the percentage level of mother's knowledge on the use of zinc in toddlers with diarrhea in Karang Pring RW 01, Sumber Jeruk village for the July 2021 period in the tofu domain was 64.6%, the understanding domain was 74.2%, and in the application domain 72.7 %. The conclusion in this study is that the realm of knowing is categorized as sufficient, the realm of understanding is categorized as sufficient and in the realm of application it is categorized as sufficient. Keywords: Knowledge level, Diarrhea, zinc

Abstract

Knowledge is the result of "knowing" that occurs after someone senses a certain object. Diarrhea is the discharge of loose stools with a soft to liquid consistency with a frequency of three or more times a day. This study aims to determine the level of knowledge of mothers about the use of ORS in infants in RW 006 Bagorejo Village, Srono District, Banyuwangi Regency. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative. The method used is cross-sectional an accidental sampling of data carried out in RW 006 Bagorejo Village, Srono District, Banyuwangi Regency for the period June - July 2022 by distributing questionnaires to 72 respondents according to the inclusion criteria. Mother's level of knowledge about the use of ORS in infants in RW 006 Bagorejo Village, Srono District, Banyuwangi Regency can be seen in the categories of know, understanding, and application. Based on the results of research on 72 respondents obtained a good percentage in the know category, understanding category, and application category.

Abstract

Solid soaps are the most commonly used. The addition of various concentrations of Cocamide DEA is expected to fulfill the physical properties test of solid bath soap. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variations in the concentration of Cocamide DEA on the physical properties of solid soap. knowing how many concentrations of Cocamide Dea formulation that meet the physical properties test of solid soap. a pre-experimental (one group) post-test design was used for this research method. The ingredients used in this study were cocamide DEA, NaOH, purple sweet potato extract, 70% ethanol, olive oil, coconut oil, chewing gum fragrance, aquadest. The treatments in this study were various concentrations of Cocamide DEA F1 2%, F2 3%, F3 5%. Parameters observed were organoleptic test, pH test, water content test, foam height test. organoleptic results showed that F1, F2, F3 had a smooth texture, a strong bubble gum aroma, F1 was dark brown, F2 was brown, F3 was light brown. Results pH F1 9.4, F2 9.6 F3 9.8. The results of the water content of F1 0.02%, F2 0.03% F3 0.07%. High yield foam F1 7.0, F2 7.4, F3 7.8. Cocamide DEA with a concentration of 2% F1 which meets the physical properties test of solid soap.
