Abstract

Industri tekstil sebagai salah satu komoditas unggulan industri di Indonesia, yang dalam proses produksinya menggunakan bahan pewarna berupa dyes berpotensi menyebarkan logam berat yang terkandung dalam limbahnya apabila limbah cair hasil produksi industri tekstil tidak diolah dengan baik. Salah satu metode penghilangan logam berat pada limbah yaitu menggunakan metode adsorpsi menggunakan biosorben. Pada penelitian ini telah berhasil disintesis adsorben hasil kombinasi kitosan dan karbon aktif dari ampas teh. Hasil karakterisasi diperoleh kadar karbon terikat sebesar 78,09%. Tahap awal dilakukan pengujian kandungan logam berat pada PT X dan diperoleh kandungan awal logam kadmium (Cd) sebesar 1,15 mg/L dan logam arsen (As) sebesar 5,74 mg/L. Biosorben kombinasi kitosan dan karbon aktif dari ampas teh diaplikasikan sebagai adsorben dalam penghilangan logam berat kadmium (Cd) dan arsen (As) pada limbah industri tekstil PT X dengan variasi massa adsorben. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan penambahan karbon aktif sebesar 1,4 gr menghasilkan persen efektivitas tertinggi dalam penghilangan logam berat kadmium (Cd) sebesar 92,50% dan arsen (As) sebesar 85,32%.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk merencanakan dan menghitung rencana anggaran biaya Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah Biofilter Anaerob-Aerob Pondok Pesantren Nurul Falah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif. Sumber data berasal dari data primer dan sekunder. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa desain perencanaan yang meliputi dimensi (panjang x lebar x tinggi) tiap unit Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah di Pondok Pesantren Nurul Falah yaitu grease trap yang berukuan 2 m x 0,8 m x 0,8 m, bak Ekualisasai berukuran 2,5 m x 2 m x 2 m, bak Sedimentasi berukuran 3,5 m x 2 m x 2,5 m, anaerob filter berukuran 7,5 m x 2 m x 2,5 m, bak biokontrol berukuran 1 m x 1 m x 1 m. Perencanaan Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah di Pondok Pesantren Nurul Falah memerlukan Anggaran Biaya sebesar 422.730.168.

Abstract

The behavior of the people around the riverbanks, such as throwing garbage directly into the river body, and the river's proximity to steel-producing companies impacts river water quality. This research aims to determine the Kalimalang River water quality status in Telaga Murni housing. The sampling method used in this study is the Grab Sampling method with a combination of Purposive Sampling, which is taken from the most polluted points so that it is expected to obtain river water samples that best follow the conditions of river water quality from upstream to downstream. From the results of laboratory tests & calculations using the Storet method and Pollution Index, river water in Telaga Murni housing is classified as heavily polluted. The Phenol and Total Coliform values exceed the quality standards indicating contamination from domestic and industrial wastewater.

Abstract

The river is the place where the sediment transport process takes place. One of the mechanisms of the sediment transport process is by floating in the form of suspension loads. Factors that affect the magnitude of the suspension load include flow discharge and rainfall. The study was conducted at the estuary of the white sandy beach in Sukajaya village with the aim of analyzing the relationship between flow discharge and suspension discharge, and analyzing the total amount of suspension load. The method used in this study is a survey method and field measurements in the form of measuring river water level, flow discharge, and taking suspension samples. sedimentation samples were analyzed in the laboratory to determine the concentration of the suspension. The results showed 1) The relationship between flow discharge and suspension discharge had a strong correlation, but did not have a large effect. 2) Rainfall does not directly affect the amount of suspension discharge. 3) The total amount of suspended cargo flowing through the estuary reaches 218,560 tons/year. Abstract

The problem of waste will be more complex with the increase in population and since a few decades ago changes in consumption patterns and people's lifestyles have resulted in an increase in the amount of waste generation. Yogyakarta has a tourist village that is engaged in the environmental sector, to be precise, Dukuh Sukunan, Banyurraden Village, Gamping District, Sleman Regency, DIY. Glass waste is a waste that is mostly generated from people's lives, especially in big cities such as Yogyakarta and other cities. Most of the glass waste is directly dumped into open land, this of course will pollute the environment considering that glass is a sharp object that is difficult to decipher. One of the efforts to utilize this waste is as a substitute material for the brick mixture. Glass powder/glass powder has pozzolandic properties so that it can function as a substitute for cement and filler. The purpose of this study was to determine the general description of the use of glass waste into bricks, the quality of bricks, and the benefits of bricks for local residents. The method used is descriptive. Production of bricks in the village-scale Sukunan tourism village using a semi-manual method, the size of the bricks is 20x10x5 cm. brick quality according to SNI-03-0348-1989 standard. Brick with the age of 3 days is included in the class III category, which is 40 kg 7 days and 14 days is included in the class II category, which is 79 kg, while the bricks aged 21 and 28 are included in the class I category with the provisions of 100 kg and the compressive strength of the bricks is age 21 and 28 days are 102 kg and 112 kg (Rachaman, 2021). Abstract

According to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Environment Agency, in 2016 the average waste entering the Bantargebang TPST reached 6,562 tons/day. The composition of the waste consists of 54% organic waste, 15% paper waste, 14% plastic waste, and others reaching 17% (DKI Jakarta Provincial Environmental Service, 2018). LDPE plastic is a waste that cannot be decomposed by the soil so that its presence in the environment becomes a pollutant. One of the uses of LDPE plastic waste is to change its shape into coarse aggregate for the manufacture of paving blocks. The use of plastic waste is also expected to be able to overcome the problem of using single-use plastics in Indonesia. Quantitative methods in this study were used to determine the quality produced from the process of making paving blocks based on quality standards for compressive strength of paving blocks according to SNI 03-0691-1996. The composition ratios used in this study were 0%, 10%, 20% and 30%. Then the compressive strength and flexural strength were tested for each paving block composition. Based on the results of Mexindo's structural and material laboratory tests. Paving with a mixture of 30% plastic with 28 days of age had good results, namely 26.54 MPa, while paving with a mixture of 10% and 20% plastic had smaller yields of 10.21 Mpa and 8.84 Mpa, but based on SNI on concrete bricks, paving with The plastic aggregate mixture is included in the quality category C. For this flexural strength test, the researcher only compares paving without plastic and paving with plastic mixture, because there is no SNI for the flexural strength of paving. Based on the results of the LDPE Plastic test, aggregates can be made. The results of the compressive strength test of paving with a plastic mixture have good results and enter category C according to SNI. For flexural strength with a mixture of plastics, the results are quite good and are equivalent to those on the market. Based on the quality requirements above, all paving blocks have not passed the test because they have not fulfilled part of the test, namely the water absorption test. Abstract

The accumulation of garbage and indiscriminate disposal of waste in open areas will cause soil pollution which has an impact on groundwater channels. To reduce waste independently, Sukunan Hamlet carries out several processing processes including waste banks, household-scale composting and communal, glass waste treatment, styrofoam waste treatment, charcoal briquettes, plastic waste crafts, livestock manure biogas, communal scale wastewater treatment installations. This study aims to determine the process of processing domestic waste into compost in the village of Sukunan with the type of method used in this study, namely descriptive, by providing a clear description with the main focus being to reveal a problem and situation as it is the data collected consists of primary data and primary data. secondary. Waste management in Sukunan Village is well managed and structured, one of which is processing organic waste which is made into compost so that the waste can be useful for the surrounding community.
