Abstract

This article aims to find out the attention of professionals in the field of architecture on housing and mental health issues. It has been found that a building can affect the physical and mental health of humans, so that focusing research on housing is considered very important where housing is a place where humans spend their time and hope to get comfort and tranquility. The study was conducted by tracing articles in journals by focusing on titles and discussions that raised residential design issues oriented to the prevention and healing of people with mental health disorders. The journals taken as the source of the articles are national and international journals that are within the accreditation range of Sinta (1-2) and Q1. This study found that the level of discussion that occurs regarding residential design oriented towards people with mental health disorders is low.AbstrakArtikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perhatian para profesional dalam bidang arsitektur pada masalah hunian dan kesehatan mental. Telah ditemukan fakta bahwa suatu bangunan dapat berpengaruh terhadap kesehatan fisik dan mental manusia, sehingga menfokuskan penelitian terhadap hunian di anggap sangat penting di mana hunian menjadi tempat manusia menghabiskan waktunya dan berharap mendapat kenyamanan dan ketenangan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menelusuri artikel pada jurnal dengan memusatkan perhatian pada judul dan pembahasan yang mengangkat permasalah desain hunian yang berorientasi pada pencegahan maupun penyembuhan penderita gangguan kesehatan mental. Jurnal yang diambil sebagai sumber artikel adalah jurnal nasional dan internasional yang berada dalam rentang akreditasi Sinta (1-2) dan Q1. Penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa tingkat diskusi yang terjadi terkait desain hunian yang berorientasi pada penderita gagguan kesehatan mental adalah rendah.

Abstract

This Architecture field has been brought to the era of post-modern. The awareness of reviving the tradition and cultural value has been lifted ever since. As one of architecture style of post-modern, metaphor architecture is too too configure certain thing as the design characteristics. But there were argues as what to be applied, i.e is it solely concrete things what metaphor means and how is it to be valid to be called a metaphor. The effort to create metaphor in design is somehow  challenged by the judgement of “copying” and “nonsense”. In this regard, the need of metaphor study appeared strongly. Thus, this current study aims to bring the understanding of metaphor in design by doing deep analyzing. This study followed qualitative methods where the data related metaphor is collected and inducted from literature sources. To mention the focus of study: methods and values of metaphor implementation. Authors conducted a practice designing an institute as another method used in gaining a better overview of applying metaphor. The data were analyzed and presented in narrative and digital drawing. The study showed that metaphor could be in form both of intangible forms (values) and tangible forms, and the value it holds is somehow related to: the way of life, tradition among community, and the creation of cultural object.

Abstract

The new architecture requires the involvement of traditional architecture in keeping the continuity of the past. It is a must to keep the local identity. Thus, this paper discusses the continuity of Acehnese traditional house architecture, Rumoh Aceh, in the houses which developed in Lambheu Village. Many discussion had discussed its form continuity, but it was a rare discussion related to its other certain parts. Where every parts are what configurate the whole shape of architecture. Thus, this current study highlighted mass and articulation, as part of form configuration, to have deep analyzing on past and current condition of traditional characteristics. The aim of this study was to grow awareness of the continuity of past architecture by drawing an overview of its current condition. The parameters used to study mass and articulation are based on the theory of Baper and Hassan (2012). The research was carried out by observing the mass and articulation of the housing development and then qualitatively analyzed by comparing its conditions to the mass and articulation character of Rumoh Aceh. The results showed that mass and articulation continuity was poorly occurred.

Abstract

Gayo Lues merupakan daerah pegunungan yang menyimpan banyak kesenian dan kebudayaan aceh, salah satunya adalah Saman. Menurut H. Ibnu Hasyim, S.Sos , M.M. (mantan bupati Gayo Lues tahun 2007-2017) wilayah Kabupaten Gayo Lues merupakan daerah pariwasata kesenian yang sedang marak di kunjungi pada saat ini. Mengingat Visi dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kab. Gayo Lues 2019-2024 yaitu “Branding Destinasi Gayo Lues: STUNNING GAYO LUES” pembangunan Gedung Saman Center berperan penting. (Rencana Pengembangan Pariwisata Gayo Lues, Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Kab.Gayo Lues 2019). Gedung Saman Center berfungsi sebagai tempat pengembangan, pembinaan, dan pembudayaan seluruh kegiatan kesenian yang ada di Kabupaten Gayo Lues. Tujuan dari perancangan ini adalah menjadikan Saman Center sebagai Pembudayaan, pengenalan, pembinaan, pelestarian dan pengembangan serta penyelenggaraan berbagai kegiatan kreatifitas seni di Gayo Lues dengan membangun sebuah pusat kesenian dan kebudayaan untuk menampung segala aktivitas  Kata Kunci: Saman Center, Pengembangan, Pusat Seni dan Budaya.
