Abstract

Cultural barrier often occur on electronic mutual business group (e-Warong), as is a social assistance program as a form of synergy between the Family Hope Program (PKH) and the Mutual Business Group/Kelompok Usaha Bersama (KUBE). Beneficiaries of social assistance can also make transactions on e-Warong using a Prosperous Family Card (KKS) through Electronic Data Capture (EDC). This unique program prioritizes the achievement of social and economic goals at the group level instead of individuals profit, one group consist of 10 people who have been assessed as independent and do not receive PKH assistance anymore. The previous results showed that the management ability of e-warong was still low, and it hindered the achievement of social and economic empowerment goals. Business failures are caused because they do not have a strong incentive to do business and situation is getting worse since the Covid pandemic. The aim and purposes are to asses cultural barriers in business practice of e –Warong, 2) To describe obstacles and efforts to overcome cultural, and 3. To describe practical and theoretical implications for the development of social welfare science. This study used a qualitative method with a case study approach and the data collection method was selected according to the following stages: 1) Determining the research topic, 2) Identifying secondary barrier, and 3) Explore the data sources through journals, archives, books, etc, 4) Finding and collecting data, 5) Analyze the data, and 6) Draw conclusions. Interviews were conducted with informants of e-warong and District Social Welfare Workers (TKSK) at e-Warong Karasak Bandung. The results showed there were three dimensions of culture, namely create the idea, sense of business and business intention. These three dimensions were still low especially in realizing business ideas, basically the cultural components should complement each other in conducting business to achieve goals. These findings directed to the recommendation for the supervisor of e-Warong Anugerah Sentosa to strengthening cipta-rasa-karsa (idea, sense and intention) as the basis for e-warong KUBE PKH business.

Abstract

Cisaat Tourism Village's community empowerment is one way the village and government are helping locals make the most of their natural and human resources in order to better manage the tourism potential already present in the area. The purpose of this research is to detail how the growth of the Cisaat tourism village in Subang Regency, West Java, has facilitated a model of local community empowerment. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. From the research, the community empowerment program in Cisaat village, Subang Regency, in general, has been going well, marked by the fulfillment of three aspects, namely the reach of access to empowerment, the level of community participation and supervision of tourist villages. This empowerment has been proven to provide benefits in improving the economy of rural communities, improving village development and increasing the human resources of local communities. There are obstacles faced in empowering the community, including the geographical condition of Cisaat Village which is prone to disasters, uneven human resource capacity and lack of concern for the surrounding environment.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how the cooperation between the Sinergi Foundation and YBM PLN is implemented in channeling people's funds by the Sinergi Foundation which includes the models, strategies, and program implementation schemes that are carried out. Sinergi Foundation (SF) is an independent institution concerned with encouraging the development of creativity and innovation in Social-Empowerment based on Productive Waqf and ZIS (Zakat, Infaq- Alms). The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method with a case study approach at the Synergy Foundation, Bandung City. The results of this study indicate that SF is implementing a community empowerment program with YBM PLN in Banyuwangi Regency. The collaboration model built by SF and YBM PLN is a partnership in which SF and YBM PLN jointly develop and implement community empowerment programs for fishing communities in Banyuwangi Regency. The strategy implemented by SF in carrying out its partnership program includes four aspects, namely (1) the existence of guidelines and codes of conduct; (2) the existence of corporate management systems and policies; (3) corporate leadership strategy in partnerships; (4) as well as commitment and partnership among stakeholders. And the implementation scheme The implementation scheme of the Partnership by SF and partners focuses on community empowerment in order to create a better life for the target community and their environment. In addition, SF and YBM PLN also focus on preserving the environment and building tourism villages in the future which are expected to have a positive impact on the community.
