Abstract

Efforts to strengthen the Islamic Economy can be implemented by establishing Micro Waqf Banks within foundations and Islamic boarding schools. The presence of the Micro Waqf Bank is expected to be able to empower the community's economy, especially in the foundation environment. The presence of the Micro Waqf Bank at the Padang Lawas Islamic Education Foundation aims to facilitate financing to the community. This research uses qualitative research with descriptive research type. The subjects of this study were the administrators (YPIPL) of the Padang Lawas Islamic Education Foundation. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the existence of BWM within the foundation is feasible and very urgent. The obstacle is that there is no socialization carried out by related parties to the Padang Lawas Islamic Education Foundation (YPIPL) regarding this Micro Waqf Bank. Keywords: potential, foundation, micro waqf bank. Abstrak Upaya penguatan Ekonomi Islam dapat diberlakukan dengan mendirikan Bank Wakaf Mikro di lingkungan yayasan maupun pesantren. Kehadiran Bank Wakaf Mikro diharapkan mampu memberdayakan ekonomi masyarakat khususnya di lingkungan yayasan. Hadirnya Bank Wakaf Mikro di Yayasan Pendidikan Islam Padang Lawas bertujuan untuk memudahkan pembiayaan kepada masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian diskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah pengurus (YPIPL) Yayasan Pendidikan Islam Padang Lawas. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keberadaan BWM dilingkungan yayasan sudah layak dan sangat mendesak. Hambatan yang dimiliki belum adanya sosialisasi yang dilakukan pihak terkait ke (YPIPL) Yayasan Pendidikan Islam Padang Lawas) tentang Bank Wakaf Mikro ini. Kata kunci: potensi, yayasan, bank wakaf mikro.

Abstract

Islamic Social Finance has an important role in sharia teachings such as zakat alms and waqf. These principles have long been stated in the Koran and al-Hadith. This research discusses the concepts and principles of Islamic Social Finance contained in the texts and those that apply in Indonesia. The research method "Concepts and Principles of Islamic Social Finance" is (Library research) where relevant library collections are the main strength in this research. This research approach uses normative and sociological methods, namely research based on the Koran and books that discuss public finances in Islam. There are several philanthropic institutions in Indonesia as a forum to help the Muslim community. As an analysis in this research, it was found that philanthropic institutions in Indonesia had different principles and concepts during the previous Islamic period.
