Abstract

Menarche or Menstruation is a period of bleeding that occurs in women regularly every month during their fertile period unless pregnancy occurs. Menstruation period is called menses, menstruation, or menstruation. The presence of menstruation is a sign of sexual maturity in adolescent girls. Some women who feel unbearable pain during menstruation can affect 50% of daily activities in women of reproductive age, and 85% in teenage girls. In fact, this condition really needs to be done further by a doctor. This is because this can indicate abnormalities in the reproductive organs, such as uterine infections, cysts or polyps, tumors around the uterus, or it could be due to permanent abnormalities in the position of the uterus.

Abstract

Premenstrual syndrome is a combination of changes in psychological and physical symptoms that occurs in the luteum phase of menstruation and begins almost immediately before menstruation. The research method is analytic observational with a cross sectional approach. The population of this study were all 174 young women. Sampling by means of a random sample of 37 people. The results of the statistical test used were the chi-squer statistical test =0.05. The results of the analysis showed that from 37 respondents there were 13 people (35.1%) who had good knowledge and 13 people who had sufficient knowledge the majority did not experience premenstrual syndrome by 8 people (61.5%) and 17 people who had a negative attitude and who experienced premenstrual syndrome. 17 people (100%), the results of the chi-square statistic obtained a knowledge value of p=0.04 and an attitude value of p=0.00< =0, 05 which means there is a relationship between knowledge and attitudes of young women about reproductive health with premenstrual syndrome. It is hoped that young women will actively seek information about reproductive health so that young women know how to prevent and treat premenstrual syndrome.

Abstract

Menarche is the first menstruation experienced by women. Menarche is an early sign of the start of a new life as a teenager in puberty. Menstruation is a period of bleeding that occurs in women regularly every month during their fertile period unless pregnancy occurs. This study aims to determine the relationship between the degree of dysmenorrhea pain and the use of Non-Steroid Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) in adolescent girls in Neighborhood III of Baru Ladang Bambu Village. The research method used is quantitative analytical approach. cross sectional, where the sample is 30 respondents through total sampling technique. The results of the bivariate analysis showed the degree of pain intensity, namely 8 respondents (26.6%) mild pain, 15 respondents (50.0) moderate pain, 7 respondents (23.4) severe pain. 19 respondents (63.3%) used NSAIDs. The results of the chi square statistical test obtained p = 0.027 this means that the p value is greater than the value and thus Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected. It is hoped that young women who are in Environment III of Ladang Bambu Village will further increase their knowledge about the use of NSAIDs to reduce pain during menstruation.

Abstract

One of the factors that affect the age of menopause is the use of contraception where the decrease in levels of the hormones estrogen and progesterone causes respondents to experience menopause symptoms at the age of more than 50 years. This study aims to determine the relationship between the use of hormonal contraception and menopause age in the V Village of Baru Ladang Bambu, Medan Tuntungan District. The research method used isanalytical quantitativewith a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were postmenopausal women in Neighborhood V, Baru Ladang Bambu Village, Medan Tuntungan District, amounting to 70 people. The sampling technique is accidental sampling. The sample in this study was all postmenopausal women, a total of 70 menopausal women in Neighborhood V of Kelurahan Baru Ladang Bambu, Medan Tuntungan Subdistrict in 2020. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the use of hormonal contraception experienced a late menopause 77.1%. The results of the chi square statistical test are obtainedp = 0.342,this means that the value of p is greater than the value of and thus Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected.It is hoped that health workers will continue to provide counseling about the use of hormonal contraception.
