Abstract

This article aims to determine the role of human resource management in organizations. This paper uses the literature review method (research conducted in libraries) to write about the topic. From the discussion it can be concluded that human resource management has three main functions, namely managerial, operational, and integration to achieve organizational goals. Human resource management includes tasks such as staff procurement, staff development, managing compensation, maintaining occupational safety and health, and manage the relationship between workers and their employers. The main task of human resource management is to increase the contribution of human resources (employees) to the organization. From this it can be understood that all activities of the organization in achieving its objectives depend on the people who manage the organization. Therefore, it is important to manage employees well in order to help the organization achieve its goals

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is a process of working on and creating something new creatively and full of innovation, the goal is to benefit others and have added value. Entrepreneurship is a mental attitude of someone who has creativity, is active, creates the power to make something unique and new and can be useful for many people. Entrepreneurship is a process to develop, identify, realize the vision and mission in life. Various circles have started discussing the concept of social entrepreneurship as an innovative solution in solving social problems, where what is meant by social entrepreneurship itself is about how to apply a practical, innovative and sustainable approach to have a positive impact on society, especially the lower economic class and those who marginalized. Social entrepreneurship usually aims to solve economic or social problems. The purpose of social entrepreneurship is the realization of social change in a better or positive direction and solving social problems for the benefit of society

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Efektivitas Kerja Pegawai Pada Sekretariat Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah Kabupaten Padang Lawas Utara Provinsi Sumatera Utara atau dikenal dengan istilah BPBD merupakan sebuah lembaga yang berperan penting dalam kegiatan kemasyarakatan terutama dalam hal bencana yang terjadi di suatu daerah. Biasanya bencana yang sering ditanggulangi seperti banjir, longsor, kebakaran, gempa bumi dan bencana lainnya. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui observasi dan wawancara. Terdapat tiga informan dalam penelitian ini yang merupakan pegawai di Kabupaten Padang Lawas Utara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas pegawai pada Sekretariat Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Kabupaten Padang Lawas Utara dapat dilihat berdasarkan kinerja dan tanggung jawab pegawainya dalam menjalankan dan menyelesaikan tugas yang diberikan. Para pegawai Kabupaten Padang Lawas Utara sudah efektif dalam melaksanakan tugasnya dengan baik dan tepat dalam menanggulangi permasalahan bencana daerah yang ada di Kabupaten Padang Lawas Utara. Akan tetapi secara keseluruhan terdapat dua indikator yang belum efektif, yaitu pada indikator kedisiplinan datang tepat waktu dan keterampilan menggunakan teknologi komputer secara optimal. Jadi berdasarkan hasil data penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa Efektivitas Kinerja Pegawai pada Sekretariat Kabupaten Padang Lawas Utara Provinsi Sumatera Utara berada pada kategori cukup efektif.
