Abstract

This research is analysis of social structure in Layali Turkistan Novel written by Najib Al-Kailani aims to reveal the social structure in the story. This research is qualitative research. It uses literature research or library research and research method is content-analysis or descriptive qualitative. The approach used in this research is emic approach including literature, sociology and history socio. Type of social structure portrayed in the story in Layali Turkistan Novel written by Najib Al-Kailani is social status and role. Social status or social class in this story is ascribed status, achieved status and assigned status. Whereas, social role involving norms which are related with position or status to someone in society is the concept about what person is able to be achieved in society as social community and individual behavior which is important to social structure of society.

Abstract

Although research on Google Translate (GT) has been widely documented, there is a dearth of research examining Arabic lecturers' perspectives on GT from an appraisal point of view. This empirical research discusses how Arabic lecturers perceive the usage of GT as a tool for academics. The participants come from ten different Arabic language lecturers. Surveys and in-depth interviews were undertaken to gather data. The appraisal theory proposed by Martin and White (2005) was used for data analysis. The findings demonstrate how lecturers' perceptions of the usage of GT can be divided into four categories happiness and unhappiness, satisfied and unsatisfied. GT is popular among lecturers since it is simple to use, accessible, affordable, provides voice recording functions, and requires little language proficiency. Meanwhile, their unhappiness with GT arises because they find it challenging to grasp due to its literal translation, ambiguity, and poor source language input. Satisfaction with the lecturers arises from GT's assistance with their tasks, whereas dissatisfaction results from GT's inability to translate cultural terms. To this end, discussion and implications are discussed at the end of the study.

Abstract

Education is something that a person needs to gain useful knowledge and form a character with good morals. The implementation of the independent curriculum has been implemented optimally, but of course, the form of implementation is still being carried out in stages. This research aims to describe the implementation of the independent learning curriculum at MAN 1 Kendari, which is identical to religious subjects based on KMA 183 and KMA 184 in 2019. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative method, which explains something real by looking at the situation. Occurs and leads to direct activity. Research techniques use observation and interview techniques. The results of the research have identified that the implementation of the independent learning curriculum at MAN 1 Kendari has gone well. However, there is still a need for cooperation between students and teachers as well as all Madrasah parties to develop an independent learning curriculum that is already running. Motivation is needed from the school principal to be able to continue straighten out when there are mistakes in learning, especially in Arabic subjects.
