Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the differences in vocabulary size among pre-school children by means of comparing those who are used to listening storybooks read out by an adult to those who are not. The hypothesis is that the children who are well-acquainted to listening storybooks read out by an adult seize higher vocabulary size. The research involves 65 pre-school students between 5 years and 6 months to 6 years and 10 months of age, both male and female, selected from Pamardisiwi Kindergarten in Yogyakarta. There are 31 students who get to listen to storybooks read out by an adult in a regular basis, while the rest 34 are conditioned otherwise. The Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test (PPVT) Form A was applied to measure the vocabulary size, and in order to asses children’s activities in listening to storybooks read out by an adult, parents are required to write a one week journal. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the correlations between neuroticness, assertivity, and maturity. It was hypotesized that there were relationships between neuroticness, assertivity and maturity; and there was a negative correlation between neuroticness and assertivity, also there was a negative correlation between neuroticness and maturity. The subjects were 95 male and female students of SMK 7 in Yogyakarta, 15 – 18 years old. Three questionaires were applied to measure neuroticness, assertivity, and maturity. Multiple regression analysis was used as a statisticalmethod. Results of the study showed that there was relationship between neuroticness, assertivity, and maturity (F = 6,88; Ry(1-2) = 0,36; p<0,01); and there were positive correlation between neuroticness and asertivity rx1y = 2,12 (p<0,05), there were positive correlation between neuroticness and maturityrx2y = 0,28 (p<0,05). These two minor hypotheses were failed.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the internal consistency and the reliability of frosting test (marianne frosting development test of visual perception) as a tool to measure visual perception) as a tool to measure visual perception ability of the children age 4-8 years. Person's product moment corrected by part whole and hoyts analysis of variance were used as statistical method.The subjects were 24 male and 26 female children, pupils of kindergartens and primary school in yogyakarta. Results of the study showed that:1. Subtest 1 eye motor coordination, all of the sixteenth items were consisten with the total subtest? coefficient correlation between 0,24 - 0,6372. Subtest II Figure Ground, from 8 items, dropped the first time, coefficient correlation between 0.238-0,8243. Subtest III Constancy of shape, from 32 items dropped 13 items, coefficient correlation between 0,245-0,6284. Subtest IV Position in shae, from 8 items, dropped 13 items, coefficient correlation between 0,245-0,3445. Subtest V Spatial Relationships, from 8 items, dropped the items sumber I and 8, coefficient correlation between 0,357-0,7176. The reliability coefficients of frosting's subtest were 0,813, 0,823, 0,792, 0,54, and 0,7967. The part whole correlation coefficients between score subtest I, II, III, IV, V and total score test were 0,715, 0,763, 0,565, 0,553,  0,718 (p<0,01).8. The effective contribution were 34, 165%, 28,759%, 19,960%, 5,928% and 11,188%.Subtest II

The purpose of this study was to discuss how the pattern of care performed by single mothers in caring for offspring, providing motivation to learn for children during the pandemic or covis-19 Peper uses qualitative research based on field studies that discuss phenomenology, collecting data through interviews, observation and documentation. The study was carried out in Bukut Teungku Village, Alue Bugeng Village. The subject consisted of one single mother and three children. One boy and two girls one is studying in elementary school. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengamati bagaimana pola-pola pengasuhan yang dilakukan oleh orangtua tunggal dalam mengasuh anaknya, memberikan motivasi belajar kepada anak di masa pandemi atau covis-19. Peper ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif berbasis kajian lapangan dengan pendekatan fenomenologi, pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Penelitian dilakukan di Dusun Bukut Teungku Desa Alue Bugeng. Subjeknya terdiri seorang single mother dan tiga orang anak. Satu laki-laki dan dua perempuan satu diantaranya sedang menempuh pendidikan di sekolah dasar. Abstract

Reality Therapy And Patience Concept In Physical Distancing Students At Astri Aulia Hostel. Covid-19 is a highly contagious disease that can shake an individual's psychological well-being. One way to break the chain of distribution is to live a clean lifestyle, wash hands, use masks and build physical distancing to stay at home and do all the activities in the house. Physical distancing, of course, will cause anxiety factors, because it narrows individual activities in the house, so this is where patience is needed to accept such needs. The research focuses on reality therapy and the concept of patience in carrying out physical distancing of female students at the Astri Aulia Yogyakarta dormitory. This research is a field research using qualitative descriptive methods. Data collection techniques are done by observation, interview and documentation. The results of the study are reality therapy and the concept of patience is able to have an impact on the client and in terms of religion, reality therapy is able to preserve patience in the lives of individuals to build physical distancing. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (a) menguji hubungan antara keberfungsian keluarga dan daya juang dengan belajar berdasar regulasi diri pada remaja, (b) menguji hubungan positif antara keberfungsian keluarga dengan belajar berdasar regulasi diri remaja, (c) menguji hubungan positif antara daya juang dengan belajar berdasar regulasi diri remaja. Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari remaja awal yang berusia 13-16 tahun, duduk di bangku SLTP, dan tinggal dengan keluarga. Jumlah subjek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 163 remaja Sekolah Lanjutan Tingkat Pertama di kota Pekanbaru. Instrumen untuk mengambil data dalam penelitian ini adalah skala belajar berdasar regulasi diri yang disusun berdasarkan aspek yang dikemukakan oleh Zimmerman (1989), skala keberfungsian keluarga yang disusun berdasarkan dimensi yang dikemukakan oleh Epstein, Baldwin, dan Bishop (dalam Sun & Cheung), dan skala daya juang yang dikemukakan oleh Stoltz (1997). Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis regresi ganda dan korelasi parsial. Hasil dari analisis regresi diperoleh koefisien multiple correlation R= 0,547 dengan nilai F = 34,084 dan taraf signifikansi sebesar p= 0,00 (p<0,01) yang menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara keberfungsian keluarga dan daya juang dengan belajar berdasar regulasi diri pada remaja, sedangkan hasil uji korelasi parsial diperoleh 0,264 dengan p <0,01 yaitu ada hubungan antara keberfungsian keluarga dengan belajar berdasar regulasi diri pada remaja, dan hasil uji korelasi parsial pada hipotesis ketiga diperoleh 0,328 dengan p<0,00 yaitu ada hubungan antara daya juang dengan belajar berdasar regulasi diri remaja. Sumbangan efektif yang diberikan variabel keberfungsian keluarga dan daya juang terhadap belajar berdasar regulasi diri remaja sebesar 29,9%, sedangkan masing-masing sumbangan efektif yang diberikan keberfungsian keluarga terhadap belajar berdasar regulasi diri remaja sebesar 12,7%, dan sumbangan yang diberikan daya juang terhadap belajar berdasar regulasi diri remaja sebesar 17,2%.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran inteligensi, penguasaan kosakata, sikap terhadap membaca, dan minat membaca terhadap kemampuan membaca siswa kelas 4 sekolah dasar, berusia 9-10 tahun. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa yang tidak terganggu penglihatan dan pendengarannya serta tidak mengalami retardasi mental. Alat pengumpul data adalah CFIT Skala-2 untuk mengukur inteligensi, Tes Kosakata untuk mengukur penguasaan kosakata, Skala Sikap Terhadap Membaca untuk mengukur sikap terhadap membaca, Skala Minat Membaca untuk mengukur minat membaca, dan Tes Membaca untuk mengukur kemampuan membaca. Subjek penelitian adalah 377 murid dari 16 SDN di kota Yogyakarta, terdiri dari 180 laki-laki dan 197 perempuan. Hasil analisis regresi dengan empat prediktor, menunjukkan keempat prediktor secara bersama-sama berperan terhadap kemampuan membaca (R = 0,592, F = 50,154 dengan p 0,05) dan sumbangannya sebesar 35% (penguasaan kosakata 29%, inteligensi 5,4%, sikap terhadap membaca 0,6%, dan minat membaca 0%). Abstract

The content and standard process of 2013 curriculum demands the learning process to be more scientific and integration. The purpose of this research is to develop and produce physics learning tools in Senior High School on Temperature Subject and Integrated Thermoregulasi Heat on Human which is using Problem Based Learning Model with valid, practical and effective criteria.This research type is research and development. The development model that is being used is MCKenny’s model which consists of Preliminary Stage, Prototype Stage and Assessment Stage. This research produces physics learning tools in Senior High School on Temperature Subject and integrated Thermoregulasi Heat on human which is using Problem Based Learning Model with valid, practical and effective criteria.
