Abstract

Multiculturalism, a concept that must be emphasized in the life of the nation and state that directs mutual respect, respect for fellow human beings is none other than to live peacefully, Indonesia as the most extensive country with the majority of Muslims besides Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism and Confucianism, multiculturalism which refers to the level of the concept of equality in social life that does not blame each other, slander and even spread hatred among others resulting in the loss of property and life, this concept must be instilled in the generation from the start, whether formulated in the educational curriculum, the material taught and the methods which is used as a manifestation of a generation that lives with tolerance, prioritizes dialogue or deliberation, helps each other to help each other.Keywords: Islamic Education, Multicultural, school

Abstract

Educator is a very honorable and noble job, because the main task for an educator is not just teaching but more than that, which is guiding students to become human beings who are especially useful for themselves, their families, and society in general. The caracteristics of the Muslim personality is the realization of noble behavior in accordance with the guidance of the Qur'an and Hadith, which in other terms is called noble character. In the context of Islamic education, educators are called murabbi, mualilim, muaddib, mudarris, muzakki and ustadz. Educators in Islamic education are Allah SWT, Rasulullah SAW, parents and teachers. In order for an educator to carry out the functions that Allah has assigned to the Prophet and his followers, he must have a rabbaniyah personality and character in his goals and behavior as well as his mindset.
