<![CDATA[ABSTRAKOsteoartritis merupakan golongan rematik sebagai penyebab kecacatan yang menduduki urutan pertama dan akan meningkat dengan meningkatnya usia, penyakit ini jarang ditemui pada usia di bawah 40 tahun. Faktor umur dan jenis kelamin menunjukkan adanya perbedaan frekuensi. Osteoarthritis lebih banyak terjadi pada wanita dibandingkan dengan pria. Prevelensi dipuskesmas Kemiling sekitar 70 % penderita Osteoarthritis datang dengan keluhan nyeri, rata-rata usia diatas 40 tahun, wanita 20% dan pria 8,3%. 60,8% terjadi Osteoarthritis pada sendi penumpu berat badan. Pendidikan kesehatan (penkes) ini bertujuan untuk menambah wawasan masyarakat dan meningkatkan derajat kesehatan pada masyarakat khususnya pada grup senam prolanis puskesmas Kemiling, Bandar Lampung sehingga mereka dapat mencegah terjadinya penyakit Osteoarthritis. Metode yang digunakan yaitu penkes dan wawancara kelompok pada 39 orang peserta grup senam Prolanis. Sebelum melakukan penkes para peserta hanya mengetahui Pengertian Osteoarthritis namun garis besarnya saja, peserta belum memahami tentang penyebab, komplikasi, pencegahan serta pengobatan dari Osteoarthritis, sedangkan setelah dilakukan penkes sebagian besar peserta penkes dapat mengetahui Pengertian, penyebab, komplikasi, pencegahan, dan pengobatan Osteoarthritis. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penkes efektif untuk menambah pengetahuan peserta. Untuk Puskesmas Kemiling, Bandar Lampung agar dapat melanjutkan penkes secara rutin kepada masyarakat sehingga dapat menambah wawasan dan meningkatkan derajat kesehatan masyarakat. Age and sex factors indicate differences in frequency. Osteoarthritis is more common in women than men. The prevalence of at the health center around 70% of people with osteoarthritis come with complaints of pain, the average age above 40 years ,women 20%, and 8,3% occur in osteoarthritis of the weight-bearing joint. This health education aims to broaden the community and improve the health status of the community,especially in the surrounding prolanis at the health center gymnastics group, Lampung city so that they can prevent the occurrence of osteoarthritis. The method used was health education and interviews with 39 prolanist group participants. Before conducting health counseling the participants only knew the meaning of osteoarthritis but the outline was that participants did not understand the causes, complications,prevention and treatment of osteoarthritis , while after health education most healt education could find out the understanding ,causes,complications,prevention and treatment osteoarthritis. This shows that health education is effective to increase participants’ knowledge. Advice for mobile health centers, Lampung airports so that they can continue healyh education reutnely to the public so that they can add insight and improve public health.
