Abstract

ABSTRAK Daun Kersen banyak memiliki manfaat untuk kesehatan, antara lain untuk mencegah pertumbuhan tumor, menjaga fungsi otot jantung, dan mengatasi Diabetes Mellitus. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh rebusan daun kersen terhadap penurunan kadar glukosa darah.Penelitian menggunakan metode pre eksperimental dengan rancangan One Group Pre test-Post test design. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan metode Purposive Sampling.Besar sampel adalah 12 orang. Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini adalah  pemberian rebusan daun kersen, variabel dependen dalam penelitian ini adalah penurunan kadar gula darah. Pengambilan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan saat observasi sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan intervensi, analisa data menggunakan uji paired t-test dengan level signifikan  <0,05.Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa rata-rata kadar gula darah sesudah dilakukan intervensi menurun sebesar 305.58 menjadi 178.33. Adanya pengaruh pemberian rebusan daun kersen terhadap penurunan kadar gula darah (p  = 0,000).Daun kersen mengandung saponin dan flavonoid yang dapat menghambat penyerapan gula darah dari usus, sehingga karbohidrat tidak banyak diserap oleh usus. Rebusan daun kersen terbukti dapat menurunkan kadar gula darah dan dapat dijadikan obat herbal  untuk penderita DM. Kata kunci : Daun kersen, Glukosa darah, Diabetes Mellitus tipe 2 ABSTRACT             Cherry (Muntingia Calabura) have  many benefit for health among others to tumor growth,  function of the heart muscle, and controls diabetes.  Research on benefits the cherry as a diabetes drugs still needed research more deeply. The aim of  this research was to analyzed the influence of  the cherry decoction leaves as a decrease in blood glucose levels.             Research used methods pre experimental to one group pre test-post test design. The selection of the sample used purposive sampling method. With the sample size  was 12 people. The independent variable in this research was the giving of cherry. The dependent variable in this study was the decrease in blood glucose levels. Data collection at the time the research was conducted observation before and after intervention. The data analysed using paired t-test with significance level of  < 0,05.            The results state that the average blood sugar levels after intervention decreased by 305.58 to 178.33 0,000 which means cherry  stew can decrease respondens blood glucose levels. precence influence of  the cherry which are potential as a decrease in blood glucose levels (p = 0,000).            Cherry leaves contain saponins and flavonoid can inhibit blood sugar absorption from the intestines, so that carbohidrate are not absorbed by the gut.
