Abstract

Background: The government through the Minister of Health issued rules, so that hospitals are there in Indonesia have a system, including a model for career development of nurses. Purpose: The model is expected to enhance the nurse in doing his job. Because the results of the previous research found almost the majority, namely, 31.4% of nurses were less motivated and this figure is quite significant. Because of the existence of the required advanced knowledge related research nurse about career development model. The research: methods in this study using study cross sectional descriptive research designs, and correlation. The sample used as many as 68 nurses with appropriate criteria set forth, and tools to measure it with the questionnaire. Knowledge of career development model as a free variable, while the motivation to work as a variable. Analysis using correlation person now moment for variable knowledge of nurses about career development model and motivational work. The results showed that the nurse's knowledge about the model for career development both of 58.8%, less of 41.2%; good work motivation of 63.2%, less work and motivation of 36.8%. There is a relationship between nurse's knowledge about career development model with the motivation of nurses (p = 0.001 <). Discussion: The expectation so that hospitals can maximize the succession system, especially with regard to the existing systems of units therein, i.e., awards, promotions, recognition and development.

Abstract

Health protocols during a pandemic are important to be used as the basis for the government's approach to compliance with health protocols. The results of the observation are that from 10 people there are 5 people who don't wear masks and 5 others obey, there are 8 people who don't wash their hands and 2 others are obedient, there are 7 who don't keep their distance and 3 others are obedient. The purpose of the study was to analyze the relationship between education level and Covid-19 health protocol compliance in the elderly. This study used a cross sectional design. The independent variable is the level of education and the dependent variable is the compliance with the Covid-19 health protocol. The study population was 98, a sample of 78 elderly using Simple Random Sampling technique. The research instrument used a questionnaire with the Spearman Rank test whit α = 0,05. The results showed that most of the basic education levels were 41 (52.6%), almost half of the Covid-19 health protocol compliance level with the non-compliant category was 36 (46.1%). Based on the results of the statistical test with the Spearman rank test, the results obtained p value: 0.024 < < : 0.05 so Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a relationship between education level and Covid-19 health protocol compliance in the elderly. The solution to overcome the compliance of the Covid-19 health protocol in the elderly is advised to have self-awareness of each individual, the role of community leaders to improve compliance with the Covid-19 health protocol properly to protect themselves from the dangers of Covid-19.

Abstract

The process of preparing a patient to return home is known as discharge planning. Discharge planning is a complex process and aims to prepare a patient for the transition in the hospital until the patient returns home. Based on Haris 2016's research, it was stated that 40% of patients were quite satisfied with discharge planning, 45.3% were satisfied, 14.7% said they were not satisfied. Based on the results of interviews conducted at the Syamrabu Hospital, Bangkalan Regency, it was revealed that health promotion and education as part of discharge planning was given only when the patient returned home, and was not clearly documented in a structured and integrated format. The method used in reforming agency activities related to discharge planning is a pilot study approach. This method starts from a situation analysis, making planning of action, implementation, evaluation, and gap analysis using a literature review. The data collection instruments used interviews, observation, document study and questionnaires. Interviews, observation and questionnaire distribution were carried out to the Head of the Nursing Division, the Head of the Nursing Section, the Head of the Room, the Chairperson. Furthermore, all teams are gathered together to be given direction or training related to the latest Discharge Planning Management. The participants of the activity were 20 nurses at the Syamrabu Hospital, Bangkalan Regency who attended the training activities. While participating in the activity, the nurse was very enthusiastic about the material presented. The nurse was also able to carry out the latest discharge planning. The training results were obtained before counseling was given to the knowledge of nurses in the sufficient category of 25% and the category of lacking 75%. After being given counseling, it increased into a good category, namely by 75%. Before being given training, the nurse's ability to be in the category of 0% and after being given the training, it increased to be in the good category, namely by 100%.
