Abstract

This study aims to identify the perceptions of primary school teacher education students regarding STEAM. The type of research used in research is a qualitative-descriptive type of research. A questionnaire, consisting of 4 question items with multiple-choice answers and 48 statement items using a Likert scale. The collected data was transmitted in the form of questionnaire data to 100 students in the fifth semester of the Primary School Teacher Education UKI Toraja. The researcher then analyzed the data that had been collected. The results showed that, on average, students heard the term STEAM for the first time and only knew courses in the field of STEAM separately. The perception of the students towards STEAM regarding attitudes, opinions, and the environment is good. The students' motivation and belief to take courses in the STEAM area are already visible. The students are also very interested in studying STEAM courses and do not find these courses too difficult. The students also agree that the knowledge acquired in STEAM can help in developing a future career as a teacher. From an environmental point of view, however, the student's perception is positive that the curriculum, the facilities, the parents/relatives, and the lecturers strongly support STEAM learning.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe the application of the Group Investigation (GI) learning model to the material of human respiratory organs in class V. This study aims to understand students about the human respiratory organs, the functions of the human respiratory organs, and how to care for the respiratory organs. This learning is based on lesson study with the following stages: (1) planning (plan), (2) implementation (do), (3) reflection (see). The approach used is a qualitative descriptive approach, to describe the activities of teachers and students that occur during the implementation of learning. This learning was carried out at SDN Mojolangu 3, Malang City with the subject of 42 grade V students and a model teacher. The results of the application of the Group Investigation learning model are able to foster a sense of responsibility, train good cooperation between students in group work, and increase student activeness in learning activities.

Abstract

This study discusses Increasing Student Creativity in the Thematic subject of fifth grade students at SDN 5 Tallunglipu, North Toraja Regency with the Application of Project Based Learning Models. The purpose of this study was to increase the learning creativity of fifth grade students by implementing the Project-Based Learning Model in fifth grade at SDN 5 Tallunglipu, North Toraja Regency. The approach used is Classroom Action Research and consists of 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of 3 stages, namely planning, action and observation, reflection. The subjects of this study were fifth grade students at SDN 5 Tallunglipu, North Toraja Regency, for the 2022/2023 academic year, consisting of 15 male students and 16 female students. The focus of this research is the teacher's ability to apply or prohibit a Thematic material and students see learning creativity in understanding the material taught in the learning process. The research results obtained are that the application of a project-based learning model can increase student learning creativity in Thematic Theme 5 Ecosystem lessons, both in terms of teacher teaching, student learning activities and student learning creativity. This can be seen from the students' learning creativity, where in the first cycle it shows that maximum learning outcomes have not been achieved or the classical completeness of students' learning creativity only reaches 53.82% and learning incompleteness reaches 46.18%. In cycle II there was an increase because it was in the very creative category, the completeness of learning creativity had reached 86.81%, while the incompleteness reached 13.19%. From the results of the study it was stated that through the Application of Project-Based Learning Models Student Learning Creativity in thematic learning of class V SDN 5 Tallunglipu North Toraja district increased.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of Christian Religious Education Teachers in increasing students' religious values ??within the scope of education at SD Negeri 2 Sopai. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this study were school principals, Christian religious education teachers and Catholic religious education teachers, as well as students of SD Negeri 2 Sopai. Data collection procedures through observation, interviews, documentation. Data analysis procedures, including data reduction, data presentation, data leveraging, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that SD Negeri 2 Sopai has a vision related to increasing students' religious values. Christian Religious Education Teachers and Catholic Religious Education Teachers have instilled Christian values ??according to indicators, namely the teacher as an interpreter of the Christian faith, the teacher being a shepherd and the teacher being a guide and leader. There are 3 (three) indicators regarding the role of Christian Religion Teachers related to strengthening students' religious values, namely: Praying, Reading the Word and Worshiping. It can be said that increasing religious values ??has been implemented by practicing based on each grade level, creating a “Bible Love Movement” program, and doing worship together whether it is worship on any predetermined days before learning. However, there is a solution that is applied in the interest of maintaining mutual tolerance between religious communities in students.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to understand the implementation of the School Literacy Movement (GLS) program in SDN 8 Sesean. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive qualitative research design, and data analysis is conducted using the descriptive qualitative method. The research subjects are fourth-grade students who participate in the GLS program, while supporting informants are fourth-grade teachers at SDN 8 Sesean. Data collection is done through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the GLS program has benefits in increasing students' reading interest and helping teachers determine students' reading abilities. The GLS program consists of three stages: the habituation stage, the development stage, and the learning stage. Supporting factors for the GLS program are related to facilities and infrastructure as well as reading materials. Although reading materials are still lacking, students' enthusiasm for reading is not reduced. The inhibiting factors include a lack of reading materials, a lack of students' interest in reading, teachers who have not fully followed the implementation of the GLS program, and students who do not understand the importance of reading books. The keywords for this study are School Literacy Movement program and students' reading interest.
