Abstract

”Pipe Si Pemenggal Kepala” is the true story of Citak ethnic in the hinterland of Papua, which was presented as a novel. The structure of literature such as theme,    figure, characterization and background are built as a fiction to the Pipe narrative. This paper is a review criticism of the Pipe’s story, that use analytical descriptive method, by literature study. The problem are how the tracks of Primitive civilization of the Citak ethnic are still survive and continue in this modern era, and  about the struggle of the writer in creating Pipe prose that  was taken from the true story of the Papua hinterland.

Abstract

Papua literature is like Kartenz mountain peaks of Jayawijaya, which stood with strong but so cold because the eternal snow. The position of literature in Papua so alive and together with the Papuan’s identity that putting the culture or customs as the dignity of their lives. So far, the material of literature that developed in Papua has not been much to raise the issue of locality. Papua has counter laden with issues of national and state life dynamisism. Therefore, there needs to be dynamic literary of Papua. Dinamisation literary form in Papua will be discussed in this paper. The goal as well as stimulate the process of literary appreciation of the splendor to the issue of locality in Papua, this paper also wanted to inspire observer and literary enthusiasts in Papua so that more developing literature on the deepening of Papua, with bringing forward local policies (local wisdom) of land in Papua, by increasing the capacity of people living in Papua mental spiritual education. This paper can also be used as reference material efforts to reduce the disharmonisation life of nation and state in Papua.

Abstract

This paper is qualitative that objectively describing about character education in Papua oral tradition. The methods used informal by verbal arranged systematically. The source of the data was the munaba tradition in Waropen tribe, Tobati folktale and Teminabuan folktale. The data were collected through documentation technique and analyzed descriptively.Generally, this paper aims to publishing and to conserving Papua oral tradition. Spesifically is to deciperated of Papua oral tradition education value that can vavor of the government program to the local society character education. The benefit are in order to change the behavior and mindset that incompatible leads to the character development that is suitable with the nation civilitation.

Abstract

Sentani language is the one of local languages in Papua which is endangered.Therefore, efforts are needed to slow the symptoms. One of them by teaching thelanguage of Sentani to children at an early age. So far there has been no research ineducation and teaching that supports Sentani language defense. This is marked by theabsence of teaching materials Sentani language. Teachers do not have guidance inteaching the Sentani language so that the existence of teaching materials is importantso that the learning of Sentani language is more structured, effective, and successful.This research is based on a general approach of research and development or researchdevelopment. The theory used is the theory of principles and procedures development ofteaching materials with language learning approach. Data collection was done by directobservation, interview technique, questionnaire of requirement analysis, and technicalnote. The result of data analysis is the early model of Sentani language teaching bookfor beginner which consists of unit one greeting theme (Foi Moi). Unit two familytheme (Imea). Unit three healthy body theme (Uga foisele). Unit four food theme(Ramang). Unit five numbers theme (Me bheai). Unit six color theme (Rahe bhu).

Abstract

Some of the media in Jayapura city have informed, that crime rates in this city are increasing, largely due to the one of the member of society who consume a high alcohol drink. Theft, rape, beatings, domestic violence, as has been the common thing when staying in this town. Although it must be admitted that was the deviant behavior, has in the various places. The government of Jayapura city are continues to minimize the occurrence of crime in the Jayapura city. It is necessary to have enlightment for people in Jayapura by using existed culture condition in the society. One of them is by using folktale in the indigenous people Jayapura city, as in the story of  Tobati village “Yaci, si Misterius Pembawa Damai”. Disclosure of education values in Port Numbay folklore would contribute to the development of character through the literature character education. This paper is qualitative with an informal presentation methods such as verbal descriptions are systematically arranged.

Abstract

Yenam Kepala Perang Kanum is the folklore of Malind Anim Kanume, the tribe whose lived in the border zone of Sota Merauke Papua. This research is an effort to document oral literature and to analyze the morphology of Malind Anim Kanume  folklore based on Vladimir Propp’s theory. From the analysis, it is known that the folklore were consisted of eleven functions and four spheres of action.The value of this paper are about how to keep the promises and how to work for piece. The important think about the Malind Anim Kanume Sota culture preservation.
