Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the capital market reaction to a political event. The event of visitation of the Arab King to Indonesia on Maret 1st-9th 2017 and visitation of the President of South Korea to Indonesia on November 9th 2017 on the members of stock index LQ45. The sampling method used in this study was purposive sampling with a total sample of 30. The data analysis technique used was Paired Sample Test with the event period of 11 days. The results of the analysis show the following: 1) Not difference in average abnormal return before and after visitation of the Arab King to Indonesia. 2) There are difference in average trading volume activity before and after visit of the Arab King in Indonesia. 3) Not difference in average abnormal return and average trading volume activity before and after visitation of the President of South Korea to Indonesia. 4) The visitation of the Arab King to Indonesia has increased compared to the visitation of the President of South Korea to Indonesia.Keywords: event study; abnormal return; trading volume activity

Abstract

This research aims to test the effect of institusional ownwership, corporate social responsibility, firm size and investment opportunity set to firm value of non financial company that listed at Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2018. The sample used in the study is 151 observations of non financial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period 2015 to 2018 and took a sample using purposive sampling method. The data in the study came from the secondary data obtained through technical documentation. Data analysis technique used is the classial assumption test and multiple regression with the help of SPSS 21 for windows. The data of this study was to quality the classical assumption and test the suitability of the model with an adhusted R2 of 60,3%. The results show that: institusional ownership and firm size has a no effect to corporate value; corporate social responsibility and investment opportunity set has a positive significant to corporate value.Keyword : institusional ownership, corporate social responsibility, firm size, investment opportunity set, firm value

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find analysis that affect auditor switching (acase studi on a manufacturing company listed on Indonesian stock exchange 2016-2918. These factors are audit opinion, management turnover, KAP size, client’s size, and audit tenure. This topic was chosen because there are several companies in Indonesia to do Voluntary Auditor Switching and not in accordance with government regulations. Population in this research are all manufacture companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) during 2010-2015. Data collecting method which used in this research is purposive sampling. A total 65 manufacturing company are used as sample firms. Hypothesis in this research are tested by logistic regression analysis with SPSS 22 software. Based on the results, variables that influence auditor switching are management turnover (CEO) and KAP Size (KAP). Audit opinion (OPINI), client’s size (LNTA) and Audit Tenure (TENURE) have no effect to Auditor Switching.
