Abstract

Techwear is a fusion of fashion with outdoor outfit with a touch of military style, which focuses on function and prioritizes aspects of aesthetics and utility. The utility characteristics are more or less based on the form, silhouette and function of military uniform or all related to military. In its implementation, the product design results of this techwear are product designs that are inspired from aspects that exist in the military. After the research was conducted, there were several problems and opportunities from the scope of this techwear carrying facility, namely the need for product design means to bring fixgear bicycles to daily activities using fixgear bikes. With the characteristics of optimal fashion techwear, such as the Utility and Waterproof features, new opportunities arise about the means of carrying these techwear, which are inspired by the characteristics of fashion techwear and military look. In this aspect there is still plenty of room for deeper exploration in design and fashion. With the new fashion techwear emerging and developing in Indonesia, making the fashion trend interesting to be discussed deeper. This research was conducted using the Literature Study method which produced a review of relevant data.

Abstract

The fast and dynamic growth of jewelry design makes designers collaborate with the artisan to develop innovation and uniqueness of jewelry design as characteristics and industrial's strength. One of Indonesia's riches that can be relied upon to be an inspiration is the diversity of typical flora and fauna of the regions in the archipelago. From these efforts, the jewelry industry can compete in both domestic and international markets. Besides, ceramic materials have not been using by the jewelry industry also acts as a differentiator between one business and its competitors. The purpose of developing jewelry designs using ceramic and metal materials is to produce innovative ceramic mix material jewelry products as an alternative product in the jewelry industry. The design research method used was shape exploration with a visual semantic approach. The result of this research is ceramic jewelry product can be used by the industry as an opportunity to keep innovate along with the development of fashion industry. Abstract

During the 2019 Coronavirus disease (hereinafter referred to as “COVID-19”) pandemic in 2020, many human activities have become limited, such as shopping for daily necessities. As a result, humans need products that can help carry out their activities in the midst of a pandemic. This study discusses the process of designing a cleaning tool that can be used before entering the home environment to prevent the virus from being carried from items exposed to the outside environment. This research is motivated by the need for a cleaning tool that can prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus from items brought from outside the home. The products that are cleaned include shoes, electronic devices, and groceries purchased either through independent or online purchases. The purpose of this research is to produce a chamber design that can clean groceries and consumables quickly without damaging the packaging or products to be cleaned. The resulting design has a novelty value that is offered, namely a goods cleaning system using steam that can clean products from COVID-19 droplets. There is a theoretical basis used in the research, namely the use of disinfectants and antiseptics as a way to prevent the COVID-19 virus in housing. The design objectives were achieved through an online literature study analysis process accompanied by interviews and proofing the feasibility of the tools used with the Double Diamond design method. At the end of the process, a design is produced in the form of a final sketch and a 3D model of the disinfectant equipment brought from outside the house.

Abstract

Dengan meningkatnya kesadaran akan energi bersih secara global, industri otomotif mulai memproduksi mobil dan motor listrik. Di Indonesia, penjualan motor listrik berkembang dengan lamban. Hal ini disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, misalnya minimnya pengetahuan konsumen akan kendaraan listrik, harga yang tinggi, jaringan penjualan yang terbatas, tidak meratanya akses listrik di Indonesia, dan juga keterbatasan desain. Penelitian ini membahas proses perancangan sepeda motor listrik untuk aktifitas city touring untuk para penggemar sepeda motor klasik dan bergaya klasik khususnya di Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya peluang akibat mayoritas desain sepeda motor listrik dalam negeri yang masih berbentuk skuter atau moped. Hal itu menghasilkan sebuah kekosongan pada pasar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan desain sepeda motor listrik dengan citra klasik untuk aktifitas city touring di Kota Bandung. Desain yang dihasilkan memiliki nilai kebaruan, yaitu penggunaan elemen desain klasik pada sepeda motor listrik, dan mengaplikasikan fungsi baru pada bagian sepeda motor yang sebelumnya berkaitan erat dengan fungsi pembakaran dalam motor. Tujuan desain dicapai melalui proses analisis dari studi literatur, disertai dengan wawancara dan melakukan pembuktian-pembuktian kelayakan desain yang dihasilkan dengan metode desain Stuart Pugh. Pada akhir proses dihasilkan desain berupa sketsa konsep akhir dan model 3D dari sepeda motor listrik.
