Abstract

This study aims to identify the fertility variable that is an obstacle in Bilah Hulu Subdistrict, Labuhanbatu Regency by evaluating the status of soil fertility and assessing alternative management in accordance with the status of soil fertility found in the Center of the People's Palm Oil Plantation, N Satu Aek Nabara Village, Bilah Hulu District, Labuhanbatu Regency with a height of ± 80 meters above sea level. This research is a phenomenological qualitative descriptive study with a land survey and is supported by a qualitative laboratory analysis. Soil sampling is carried out in the survey area sequentially based on where the estimated nature of the soil is different from the purposive random sampling method, so the results of the soil analysis obtained are expected to reflect the true value. 60 cm and recording the coordinates using global Positioning System. Whereas soil management information is obtained by direct field observation and in-depth interviews with farmers in a snow ball aiming to obtain complete information from farmers. Soil chemical properties analyzed in C-organic laboratory, CEC, Base Saturation. To determine the chemical properties of the soil with certain criteria that have been determined. Based on Technical Instructions for Evaluating Soil Fertility. Soil fertility parameters that become obstacles in the status of soil fertility in N Satu Aek Nabara Village, Bilah Hulu District, Labuhanbatu Regency are low soil organic matter content and very low soil fertility. The direction of management of soil fertility for sloping land units in the lower, palm, and peak areas of palm oil is in the form of adding organic matter with compost and fertilizer and inorganic substances in accordance with recommendations to improve soil fertility status.

Abstract

Application of Urea Fertilizer and Goat manure in a Ultisol for green mustard plants (Brassica Chinensis L.) aimed to determine the fertilizer treatment of goats sometimes goats to increase leaf area, root volume, and fresh weight of plants. And Interaction of fertilizer application, sometimes goat fertilizer (ts/ha) and urea fertilizer on green mustard plants. This research was conducted in Sona Village with a height of 18 meters above sea level in Labuhanbatu Regency in December 2019 until March 2020. The material used was green mustard seeds, goat manure. Urea fertilizer, water Tools used are cutter blades, analytical scales, rulers, scissors, mortars, measuring flasks, buckets, calipers, neat ropes, hoes. The research will be conducted with a factorial group design. The first factor is the provision of factorial Group Design consisting of 2 factors, the first factor is Goat Cage fertilizer (K) consisting of 3 levels and the second factor is the provision of Urea fertilizer consisting of 2 dose levels, so we get 6 treatment combinations every 4 replications so that 24 plots were obtained. Each plot consisted of 25 plants and taken 5 plants as samples. The parameters observed were plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), leaf area (cm2), root volume (ml), and weight of fresh plant weight (g). Data obtained from the results of the study were statistically analyzed with variance and continued with Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at a 5% level. Results of research The treatment of fertilizer sometimes goat (ts/ ha) with a dose of 2 ts/ha and urea fertilizer at 100 kg/ha can increase leaf area, root volume, and plant fresh weight. As well as the interaction of fertilizer application, sometimes goat fertilizer (t / ha) and urea fertilizer have a significant influence on the parameters of leaf area, root volume, and plant fresh weight.

Abstract

Seedlings which look prima is a prerequisite for the success of oil palm cultivation. Besides, because of the factors in the pre-nursery genetic, the provision of nutrients in early growth seedlings has an important role performance determine the appearance of the seedlings thoroughly. This study aims to determine the influence of the growth of oil palm seedlings at each concentration of organic fertilizer tithonia and fertilizer of urea for pre-nursery. The experiment was carried out from January to Agustus 2019 in the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Science and Technology, the University of Labuhanbatu Rantauprapat with a height of 13 meters above sea level. The experimental design used was a Randomized Block Design with a factorial pattern that is repeated three times. The experimental design used was a Randomized Block Design with a factorial pattern that is repeated three times. The first factor includes the dose of Organic Fertilizer Tithonia (ton/ha) comprising of three standards, namely T0 = 0 ton/ha, T1 = 10 ton/ha, T2 = 20 tons/ha and the second factor was fertilizer dosage Uera which consists of four levels, namely U0 = 0 kg/ha, U1 = 100 kg/ha, T2 = 200 kg/ha, U3 = 300 kg/ha. The experimental results show that there are significant interactions of organic fertilizer Tithonia with fertilizers urea on plant height (cm) and leaf area of oil palm seedlings (cm2). Treatment of organic fertilizer tithonia 20 tons/ha with fertilizer urea 300 kg/ha yield plant height and leaf area of oil palm seedlings the best for pre-nursery.
