Abstract

Udang vaname merupakan salah satu komoditas unggulan di bidang perikanan. Udang ini memerlukan faktor-faktor fisika dan kimia tanah dan air untuk kelangsungan hidupnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan kualitas tanah dan kualitas air tambak untuk budidaya udang vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei) di Kecamatan Mare Kabupaten Bone, Sulawesi Selatan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survei. Kualitas air dan tanah dianalisis di Balai Besar Budidaya Air Payau Maros. Pengambilan sampel air dan tanah ditetapkan pada lima titik pada setiap petakan tambak. Masing-masing titik, pengambilan sampel dilakukan sebanyak tiga kali. Data hasil penelitian disajikan dalam bentuk tabel dan dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan membandingkan hasil penelitian dengan kriteria kelayakan dan kesesuaian lahan untuk budidaya udang vannamei. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara umum parameter fisika dan kimia air dan tanah tambak masih dalam batas kelayakan  untuk budidaya udang vannamei Litopenaeus vannamei. Vaname shrimp is one of the leading commodity in the field of fisheries. Shrimp require physical factors and chemical soil and water for survival. This study aims to determine the feasibility of soil quality and water quality ponds for shrimp farming vannamei (Litopenaeus vannamei) in District Mare Bone regency, South Sulawesi.  The method used was a survey method. The quality of ground water and analyzed at the Great Hall of Brackish Water Aquaculture, Maros. Water and soil sampling was set at five points in each pond. Each point, sampling was conducted three times. The data results are presented in tabular form and analyzed descriptively by comparing the results of studies with eligibility criteria and suitability of land for shrimp farming vannamei. The results showed the general physical and chemical parameters of pond water and soil are still within the limits of feasibility for shrimp farming vannamei Litopenaeus vannamei.
