Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kualitas batubara yang digunakan sebagai bahan bakar di PLTU 2x7 MW Sumbawa Barat berdasarkan analisis proksimat, kandungan sulfur dan nilai kalor. Batubara yang dianalisis diambil dari luaran coal banker (belt feeder). Sampel batubara kemudian dipreparasi sebelum dianalisis, meliputi pengurangan ukuran sampel, penggerusan dan pengayakan. Sampel batubara diuji kualitasnya meliputi analisis proksimat, kandungan sulfur dan nilai kalor. Dari hasil analisis diperoleh nilai kalor yang berbeda-beda antara S1, S2 dan S3, secara berurutan sebesar 4259 Kkal/Kg, 4297 Kkal/Kg dan 4416 Kkal/Kg. Nilai kalor sampel batubara dipengaruhi oleh rasio antara besaran analisis proksimat dengan persentase sulfur. Abstract: This study aims to analyze the quality of coal used as fuel in PLTU 2x7 MW West Sumbawa based on proximate analysis, sulfur content and heating value. The analyzed coal is taken from the coal banker output (belt feeder). The coal sample is then prepared before being analyzed, including reducing the sample size, grinding and sieving. Coal samples were tested for quality including proximate analysis, sulfur content and heating value. From the analysis, it was found that the different heating values ​​between S1, S2 and S3 were respectively 4259 Kcal / Kg, 4297 Kcal / Kg and 4416 Kcal / Kg. The calorific value of coal samples is influenced by the ratio between the proximate analysis and the percentage of sulfur.
