Abstract

Model cooperative learning type Jigsaw is a learning model that divide students into expert and novice group. Expert’s students give an explanation of subtopics experts to novice student in the novice group, therefore with model cooperative learning type jigsaw students can be more interactive and get maximal value of academic performance. The purpose of this study was to describe about profile academic performance of expert and novice student in the cooperative learning type jigsaw. The samples of this study consisted of 34 students at a high school in Bandung. The one group pretest-posttest experiment design was chosen in conducting the research. The data was analysed using an anlaysis descriptive methode and retrieval of data was taken using multiple choice instrument test of 15 item at pre-test and post-test. The results showed that academic performance of expert student higher than novice student. Analysed from the gain of pre-test to post-test. Academic performance of expert student increase g = 0,42 at the medium category and academic performance of novice student increase g = 0,32 at the medium category. With the result that model cooperative learning type jigsaw can increase academic performance of expert as well as novice student. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam memecahkan suatu permasalahan fisika di berbagai macam bentuk representasi. Kemampuan berpikir kritis yang baik dapat menjadi salah satu solusi dari permasalahan kurangnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah serta kurangnya pemahaman mendalam siswa terhadap suatu konsep atau materi fisika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam kemampuan berpikir kritis masalah getaran harmonik melalui pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbasis multirepresentasi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil menggunakan teknik Convenience Sampling. Pengambilan sampel terdiri dari 24 siswa kelas X di salah satu SMAN di Bandung tahun akademik 2019/2020. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif yaitu pre-experiment, dan desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah desain one group pretest-post test design. Cara pengumpulan data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes formatif dimana tipe soal yang digunakan merupakan soal berbasis indikator/aspek kemampuan berpikir kritis. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis yang cukup baik setelah dilaksanakannya pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbasis multirepresentasi. This research is motivated by the low ability of students to critical thinking skills in solving a physics problem in various forms of representation. Good critical thinking skills can be one of solution to the lack of problem solving skills and in-depth understanding of students about a concept or a physics material. The purpose of this research was to identify the improvement of student’s abilities to think critically about the problem of harmonic vibration through learning with multi-representation using Problem Based Learning models. The sample in this research was chosen using the Convenience Sampling technique. Sampling consisted of 24 person of 10th grade students in one of the high schools in Bandung year 2019/2020. The method used in this research is a quantitative method that is pre-experiment, and the research design is one group pretest-posttest design. The method of collecting data is using a formative test where the type of question is an indicator-based problem / aspect of critical thinking skills. The results of this research showing that the improvement of critical thinking skills is quite good after the implementation of learning using a multi-representation based Problem Based Learning model.

Abstract

Real World Situation Problem Based Learning adalah model pembelajaran yang melibatkan siswa untuk memecahkan suatu masalah yang ada di dunia nyata atau di dalam kehidupan sehari-hari yang dapat membangun pola berpikir kritis siswa. Education Sustainable Development (ESD) merupakan suatu konteks atau isu-isu ESD yang dijadikan suatu permasalahan terkait model pembelajaran yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan profil Sustainability Awareness siswa. Sehingga, Real World Situation Problem Based Learning dengan menggunakan konteks ESD dalam penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan profil Sustainability Awareness yang dimilikinya. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket profil Sustainability Awareness dan wawancara. Instrumen diberikan kepada 30 siswa di salah satu SMA di Kota Cimahi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setelah kegiatan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model Real World Situation Problem Based Learning Menggunakan Konteks ESD dapat meningkatkan profil Sustainability Awareness. Real World Situation Problem Based Learning is a learning model that engages students to solve a problem that exists in the real world or in daily life that can build a student's critical thinking pattern. Education Sustainable Development (ESD) is a context or ESD issue that is a problem related to the learning model that is used to improve students ' Sustainability Awareness profile. Thus, Real World Situation Problem Based Learning uses the ESD context in this study to enhance its Sustainability Awareness profile. Research uses qualitative descriptive research methods. The instrument used is a questionnaire of Sustainability Awareness profiles and interviews. The instrument was given to 30 students at one high school in Cimahi. The results showed that after learning activities by implementing the Real World Situation Problem Based Learning model using ESD context could improve the Sustainability Awareness profile.
