Purposive sampling technique was employed, involving 50 respondents. Data collected by an online form questionnaire. Data analysis used the Chi-square test and Fisher-exact test, while multivariate analysis used logistic regression. The magnitude of postpartum contraceptive utilization was 52%. There were association between knowledge level (p=0.035), attitude towards postpartum family planning (p=0.011), husband support (p=0.025) and healthcare provider support (p=0.048) with postpartum contraceptive usage. Abstract

Methodology: This cross-sectional study was conducted among 130 applied science midwifery students in Yogyakarta who were selected by proportional sampling. A self-administered questionnaire was used in this study. Knowledge was measured through true and false statement questions and attitude towards HIV measured through Likert scale. The analysis of univariate, bivariate, and multivariate were analyzed by computer. Results: More than three fourth of the respondents were 21 years or older. The bivariate analysis found HIV information from lecturer, HIV information from clinical instructors, experience managing HIV patient, and level of knowledge were significantly associated with attitudes towards HIV/AIDS. After adjusted to other variables in multivariate analysis, the level of knowledge had the association with attitude. Particularly, poor knowledge students were 2.26 times more likely to have negative attitude towards HIV/AIDS compared to those had good knowledge. Conclusion: Knowledge was the most influencer factors of attitude toward HIV/AIDS. The midwifery education curricula may consider to have more specific information about HIV/AIDS in order to increase the student’s knowledge.

A third of these were infected during adolescence period.  HIV prevention in adolescents is particularly important. Attitude is one indicator of a person's behavior or action. This study aimed to establish the determinants of adolescents’ attitudes toward the prevention of HIV AIDS among adolescents. This was a descriptive cross-sectional study conducted among 370 high school students in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Quantitative data was analyzed using SPSS and involved univariate and multivariate analysis. The result of this study showed that the internet and television were the major sources of information on reproductive health and HIV among adolescents (98.9%) and (98.4%) respectively. The determinant factors of adolescents' attitude towards HIV/AIDS prevention were the level of knowledge (p=0.028) and self-efficacy (p=0.007) and multivariate analysis showed respondents with positive self-efficacy were 1.8 times more likely to have a positive attitude towards HIV/AIDS prevention. The conclusion is self-efficacy is a determinant factor in attitude. The recommendation of this study is to stakeholders on interventions that can improve adolescents' self-efficacy to achieve HIV prevention goals.

Abstract

Adolescents were vulnerable phase to reproductive health problems such as unintended pregnancy, unsafe abortion, sexually transmitted infections (STIs) including Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), sexual abuse and rape and anaemia. Previous study of Niken Meilani and Nanik Setiyawati in 2019 showed that the level of adolescent reproductive health knowledge majority in the poor category and the proportion of anaemia was high. The results showed that the provision of Fe supplement tablets had an effect on increasing haemoglobin levels with p=0.020, reproductive health information also increase the level of knowledge of respondents p=0.000. This Community service for 7th grade female students at SMP Muhammadiyah Plus Gunungpring Muntilan as many as 70 students. The purpose of this community service was to increase knowledge through providing information through WhatsApp groups and Instagram and to increase haemoglobin levels by giving anaemia Fe tablets. Monitoring of activities is carried out two-way communication through WhatsApp groups involving school guidance and counsellor teachers. The evaluation of the activities was carried out by measuring the knowledge scores of the pre-test and post-test, and it was found that there was an increase in knowledge by using a pair t-test analysis with p = 0.000. Ten blood-added tablets are given for 10 weeks with the monitoring of the teachers. Community service activities by providing information through WhatsApp and Instagram statistically increase students' knowledge about adolescent reproductive health.
