Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jumlah kreatinin padadomba lokal jantan dengan pemberian pakan siang dan malam hari. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa 11 ekor domba lokal jantan dengan bobot badan awal rata-rata 24,12+ 2,54 kg (CV=10,53%)dan umurberkisar 1 tahun. Pakan yang diberikan berupa pakan komplit berbentuk pelet, dengan kandungan protein kasar (PK) 12,01% dan total digestible nutrients (TDN) 66,73%.Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan ulangan yang berbeda.Perlakuan yang diterapkan yaitu;  T1: pemberian pakan siang hari, T2: pemberian pakanmalam hari,dan T3: pemberian pakan siang dan malam hari. Parameter yang diamati adalah konsumsi bahan kering (BK), pertambahan bobot badan harian (PBBH), dan keluaran kreatinin. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis variansi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan,perlakuan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi BK, PBBH dan keluaran kreatinin pengambilan kedua (minggu ke 5) dan ketiga (minggu ke 9), rata–ratanya sebesar1.070g/hari; 95 g;29 dan 36 mg/hari. Perlakuan iniberpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap keluaran kreatinin pengambilan pertama (minggu ke 2) pada masing-masing perlakuan T1, T2, dan T3 sebesar 39; 88; dan 4 mg/hari.Simpulan penelitian ini adalah pemberian pakan siang dan malam hari tidak berpengaruh terhadap kreatinin yang dikeluarkan.Kata kunci:Domba lokal;pakan siang dan malam hari;kreatinin. ABSTRACT Aim of study wasto determinethe amount ofcreatininein indigenousrams under day and night feeding. The materialsusedinthis study were 11 indigenousrams of 1 year old, average weighing 24.12+2.54kg(CV=10.53%). They were fed completefeed in form of pellet, containing crude protein (CP) 12.01% and total digestible nutrients (TDN) 66.73%. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and unequal replications. The treatments applied were time of feeding,namely: day time feeding (T1); night time feeding (T2); and day and night time feeding. Parameters measured were dry matter intake (DMI), average daily gain (ADG), and creatinine excretion. Dry matter intake, ADG and creatinine excretion of the second (fifth week) and third (ninth week) had an average number of 1,070 g/day; 95 g; 29 mg/day and 36 mg/day, respectively.However, treatment gained significantly different (P<0.05) on first creatinine excretion (second week) the creatinine excretion of T1, T2, and T3 were 39; 88; and 4 mg/day, respectively. It could be concluded that feeding during the day and night had no effect on creatinine excretionof indigenous rams.Key words:Indigenousrams;day and night feeding;creatinine.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui korelasi atau hubungan antara bobot badan dengan ukuran-ukuran tubuh kambing Jawarandu betina pada kelompok umur muda dan dewasa di Kabupaten Blora, Jawa Tengah. Materi 164 ekor kambing Jawarandu betina yang dibedakan menjadi 83 ekor untuk kelompok muda dan 81 ekor untuk kelompok dewasa. Metode penelitian survei dan pemilihan lokasi menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Ukuran tubuh yang diukur lingkar dada (LD), lebar dada (LbDd), dalam dada (DlDd), panjang badan (PB), tinggi pundak (TP), lebar pinggul (LbPg), tinggi pinggul (TgPg) dan bobot badan (BB). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata bobot badan dan semua variabel ukuran tubuh pada semua kelompok umur berbeda sangat nyata (P<0,01). Hasil perhitungan uji korelasi menunjukkan nilai korelasi yang sangat nyata (P<0,01) baik pada kelompok umur muda dan dewasa. Pada kelompok umur muda semua variabel tubuh mempunyai nilai korelasi yang sangat kuat terhadap bobot badan yakni berkisar 0,847-0,954. Namun, kelompok umur dewasa hanya lingkar dada dan panjang badan yang mempunyai korelasi yang sangat kuat dengan bobot badan (0,876) dan (0,818). Korelasi antara bobot badan dengan ukuran tubuh yang lain seperti dalam dada, tinggi pundak, lebar pinggul serta tinggi pinggul pada kelompok umur dewasa mempunyai korelasi yang kuat yaitu 0,653-0,736, sedangkan lebar dada mempunyai korelasi yang sedang (0,532). Kesimpulan dari penelitian semua variabel ukuran tubuh kelompok umur muda dapat digunakan untuk menduga bobot badan, sedangkan pada kelompok umur dewasa hanya variabel lingkar dada dan panjang badan yang dapat digunakan sebagai penduga bobot badan.Kata kunci:   Angka korelasi;  Bobot badan;  Kambing Jawarandu betina; Ukuran-ukuran tubuh. ABSTRACT This research was aimedto analyze the correlation between body measurements and body weight of young and adult female Jawarandu goats in Blora Regency. The goats used in this research were 164 females Jawarandu goats divided into two groups. The number of young aged group were 83heads while the adult group was 81 heads. The research used survey andpurposive sampling methods. The parameters measured were the chest girth,chest width, chest depth,body length, shoulder height,hip width, hip height and body weight of Jawarandu goats females. The result showed that the body measurement of all age groups were highly significant (P<0.01). The correlation between body measurement and body weight all age groups showed highly significant(P<0.01). Correlation of body weight and body measurements of female Jawarandu goats in the young group had the highest value of 0.847-0.954. However, in the adult age group chest girth and body length were highly correlated with body weight, being 0.818 and 0.876 respectives.The correlation between another body measurement and body weight such as chest depth, shoulder height, hip width, and hip height at adult age group had a strong correlation (0.653 to 0.736), except the chest width had a moderate correlation (0.532). The conclusion of this study were all body measurements at young age group could be used to estimate body weight of female Jawa randu goats, where as on the adult age group only chest girth and body length that could be used for estimate the body weight.Keywords: Correlations;Body weight; Body measurements;  Female Jawarandu goats.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui pola pertumbuhan bobot badan kambing Kacang betina di Kabupaten Grobogan. Materi penelitian berupa 150 ekor kambing Kacang betina yang berumur 0-3 bulan sebanyak 23 ekor, >3-6 bulan sebanyak 29 ekor, >6-9 bulan sebanyak 21 ekor, >9-12 bulan sebanyak 11 ekor, >12-18 bulan sebanyak 15 ekor, >18-30 bulan sebanyak 16 ekor, >30-42 bulan sebanyak 16 ekor dan umur > 42 bulan sebanyak 20 ekor. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode survey. Penentuan lokasi dan sampel penelitian dengan metode purposive sampling berdasarkan populasi kambing Kacang terbanyak serta jenis kelamin dan umur ternak. Penimbangan kambing Kacang dilakukan dengan cara manual. Pola pertumbuhan bobot badan kambing Kacang diketahui menggunakan Analisis regresi-korelasi dengan program Microsoft Exel 2007. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rataan bobot badan pada setiap kelompok umur kambing Kacang betina yaitu 5,76 kg ±sd (0-3 bulan), 9,31 kg ±sd (3-6 bulan), 13,41 kg ±sd (6-9 bulan), 14,52 kg ±sd (9-12 bulan), 19,14 kg ±sd (12-18 bulan), 21,13 kg ±sd (18-30 bulan), 24,88 kg ±sd (30-42 bulan), dan 31,03 kg ±sd (> 42 bulan).  Pola petumbuhan bobot badan membentuk kurva dengan persamaan y = -0,00215x2 + 0,61764x + 6,91315 artinya semakin meningkat dengan meningkatnya umur. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah pertumbuhan bobot badan kambing Kacang betina di Kabupaten Grobogan mempunyai pola pertumbuhan membentuk kurva kuadratik. Kata kunci: kambing Kacang betina; bobot badan; pola pertumbuhan ABSTRACT             The study was aimed determine the growth pattern of body weight of female Kacang goat in Grobogan. The location and the sample were determined by purposive sampling method based on the Kacang goat population, sex and age. Body weight of Kacang goat was measured by weighing manually. Body weight growth pattern of Kacang goats was determined by regression-correlation analysis using Microsoft Excel 2007 program. The result showed that the average body weight of female Kacang goat for each age group were 5.76 kg ±sd (0-3 months), 9.31 kg ±sd (3-6 months), 13.41 kg ±sd (6-9 months), 14.52 kg ±sd (9-12 months), 19.14 kg ±sd (12-18 months), 21.13 kg ±sd (18-30 months), 24.88 kg ±sd (30-42 months), and 31.03 kg ±sd (> 42 months). The growth pattern of body weight was found curveliniarly fit to equation of y = -0.00215x2 + 0.61764x + 6.91315 it’s mean increased with increasing age. The conclusion of study was the growth of body weight of female Kacang goat in Grobogan had the growth patterns to form a quadratic curve. Keywords: female Kacang goat; body weight; growth pattern

Abstract

ABSTRAK Hasil pemotongan ternak berupa karkas dan non-karkas. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi bobot karkas dan non karkas adalah bobot potong ternak yang dipengaruhi oleh kualitas pakan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh kadar protein dan energi yang berbeda terhadap bobot karkas dan non karkas kambing Kacang jantan. Materi penelitian berupa 15 ekor kambing Kacang jantan umur 6-18 bulan dengan bobot badan awal rata-rata 14,28 ± 3,36 kg (CV = 23,55%). Penelitian mengunakan rancangan acak kelompok, dengan 3 perlakuan pakan dan 5 kelompok ternak berdasarkan bobot badan awal. Perlakuan pakan yang diterapkan adalah T1 = protein kasar (PK) 9,20% dan total digestible nutrients (TDN) 54,67%, T2 = PK 11,67% dan TDN 58,61%, T3 = PK 18,33% dan TDN 65,23%. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan anova dan apabila terdapat perbedaan dilanjutkan dengan uji wilayah-berganda Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ternak yang diberi pakan dengan kualitas yang berbeda menghasilkan bobot potong T1 (18.516 g) lebih rendah (P<0,05) dari pada T2 (21.334 g), tetapi keduanya tidak berbeda nyata dengan T3 (20.036 g). Bobot non karkas T1 (9.984 g) lebih rendah (P>0,05) dari pada T2 (11.384 g), namun keduanya tidak berbeda nyata dengan T3 (10.648 g), sedangkan bobot karkas tidak berbeda nyata dengan rata-rata sebesar 9.290 g. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah kambing Kacang jantan yang diberi pakan dengan kadar PK 11,67% dan TDN 58,61% mampu menghasilkan bobot potong dan bobot non karkas yang tinggi. Kata kunci: Kambing Kacang; Pakan; Karkas Non-karkas   ABSTRACT The product of slaughtered goat are carcass and non-carcass. One of the factors that affect carcass and non-carcass weight is the slaughter weight which is affected by the quality of the feed. This study aimed to assess the effect of different protein and energy levels of the diet to the weight of carcass and non carcass of male Kacang goat. Fifteen male Kacang goats at the age of 6 – 18 months with the initial body weight of 14.28 ± 3.36 kg (CV =23.55%) were set in a randomized block design with 3 different treatments: T1 = crude protein (CP) 9.20% and total digestible nutrients (TDN) 54.67%, T2 = CP 11.67% and TDN 58.61%, T3 = CP 18.33% and TDN 65.23%. The goat was grouped based on the initial body weight. The analysis of variance was used to analyze the data and the differences among those treatments were further tested using Duncan’s Multiple Range test. The results showed that goat which was fed with different quality of feed produce slaughter weight T1 (18,516 g) was lower (P<0.05) than T2 (21,334 g), but the those were not significantly different (P>0.05) with T3 (20,036 g). Non-carcass weight of T1 (9,984 g) was lower (P<0.05) than T2 (11,384 g), but both of them were not significantly different (P>0.05) with T3 (10,648 g), whereas carcass weight was not significantly different (P>0.05) with an average of 9,290 g. The conclusion of this study was the feed of Kacang goat with CP 11.67% and TDN 58.61% yielded highest slaughter, and non- carcass weight. Keyword: Kacang goat; Diets; Carcass non-carcass

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola pertumbuhan kambing Jawarandu betina berdasarkan bobot badan dan ukuran-ukuran tubuh. Materi yang digunakan adalah kambing Jawarandu betina umur 0-4 tahun sebanyak 185 ekor. Pengambilan sampel kambing dilakukan dengan cara purposive sampling. Variabel yang diukur adalah bobot badan, tinggi pundak, panjang badan dan lingkar dada kambing Jawarandu betina. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bobot badan, tinggi pundak, panjang badan dan lingkar dada mempunyai pola pertumbuhan yang sama. Pada umur 0-3 bulan sampai umur >18-30 bulan (poel 2) pertumbuhan bobot badan, tinggi pundak, panjang badan dan lingkar dada meningkat (P<0,05), sedangkan pada umur >18-30 bulan (poel 2) dan >30-42 bulan (poel 3) pertumbuhan bobot badan, tinggi pundak, panjang badan dan lingkar dada cenderung tetap (P>0,05), tetapi pada umur >30-42 bulan (poel 3) dan umur >42-48 bulan (poel 4) pertumbuhan bobot badan, panjang badan dan lingkar dada meningkat kembali (P<0,05), tetapi pada tinggi pundak umur >42-48 bulan (poel 4) cenderung tetap (P>0,05). Simpulan hasil penelitian adalah pertumbuhan tinggi pundak, lingkar dada, panjang badan dan pertambahan bobot badan pada kambing Jawarandu betina mempunyai pola yang sama mulai dari umur 0-3 bulan sampai umur >30-42 bulan (poel 3), tetapi pada lingkar dada, panjang badan dan bobot badan mengalami peningkatan kembali pada umur >42-48 bulan (poel 4), sedangkan pada tinggi pundak cenderung tetap. Kata kunci : kambing Jawarandu; pertumbuhan; ukuran tubuh ABSTRACT           This study was aimed to determine the growth pattern of female Jawarandu goats based on body weight and body measurements. The material used in this study was 185 heads female Jawarandu goats aged 0-4 years. Goats sampling was done by purposive sampling methods. The variables measured were body weight, shoulder height, body length and chest girth. The results showed that body weight, shoulder height, body length and chest girth have the similar growth pattern. From the age of 0-3 months to >18-30 months (2 pairs permanent incisors teeth; pit) the body measurements of goat was increased (P<0.05), while at age of >18-30 months (2 pairs pit) and >30-42 months (3 pairs pit) the body measurements was similar (P>0.05), increased again (P<0.05) from age of >30-42 months (3 pairs pit) to >42-48 months (4 pairs pit), except  in shoulders height (P>0.05). The conclusion could be drawn from this study was the shoulders height, chest girth, body length and body weight in female Jawarandu goats (from the age of 0-3 months to >30-42 months (3 pairs pit) grown in similar pattern, however the chest girth, body length and body weight were increased again at the age of >42-48 months (4 pairs pit) except shoulders height. Keywords: body size; growth; Jawarandu goat.
