Abstract

Wotanngare site is believed to be the former Kingdom of Malawapati (Mlawatan Site) as well as the palace of King Anglingdarma. By local community, King Anglingdarma is a legendary and heroic figure for Bojonegoro society. This is supported by the toponym, toponyms related to Anglingdarma such as Budhug Village, Tibong Land, Kedhung Gandhu, Pathak Kedhung Buto, and Mount Pegat. Based on the results of the research carried out Balai Arkeologi Yogyakarta, Wotanngare Site in Bojonegoro regency is a settlement site Majapahit period. The archeological as well as the legend significance would be combined to contribute academically to the Bojonegoro community.

Abstract

Pleret is one sites that has the Islamic Mataram long way in archaeological research. Pleret existence can not be ignored in a civilization of the Islamic Mataram Period, which also has a parallel position with Kutagede, Kerto, Kartosuro, Surakarta and Yogyakarta. But the glory of pleret was not able to be seen as a whole, only a few partsthat can be met partially. The purpose of writing this article is one of the publications of the result of the research efforts that have been conducted Pleret Kedaton site by displaying the latest findings in the form of the remains of building that are considered part of the building Cepuri keben / ward Srimanganti.

Abstract

As a part of a palace building, a fortress is one of the building components that must exist. A fortress is also found at Pleret Palace. The historical data obtained form Dutch records and chronicles mention that the Palace is equipped with a square-shaped fortress with a shield shape frontage. Then how the suitability of these data with archaeological evidence found at this site. This paper describes the historical data relating to the Pleret Palace fortress as well as archaeological data that have been found. Both data are compared to reveal the form, components, layout, and materials of the Pleret Palace fortress.

Abstract

Ancient brick structures were found in 1990 in Semarum site in the regency of Trenggalek. Intensive research have been carried out since 2012 to 2014. Systematic excavation was conducted to disclose the form and character of the site. The Data collection research through excavation activities with qualitative research methods. The result showed that Semarum site is an ancient water reservoir made of brick measuring 24 m x 24 m. Absolute chronology determination is still in the process, while the relative date is estimated between the XI - XIII centuries AD or between Kadiri to Maj¬apahit period.

Abstract

Metal salvage and theft activities have eliminated most shipwrecks at Nusa Island, and exposed shipwrecks in Gosong Gili, Bawean Island. In order to give recommendations for its conservation efforts, this study aims to identify the remaining shipwrecks or exposed shipwrecks at Nusa Island and Gosong Gili, and the types of corals and fishes in it. This study aims to prove that shipwrecks or exposed shipwrecks is not only having historical and economical value, but also ecological value for the survival of coral reef ecosystem. This is a descriptive-explorative research, data were gathered by underwater survey using GPS Map Sounder, and SCUBA diving. Shipwrecks at Nusa Island is only 30% left in fragmented form of mast, machine, boiler, propeller, ivory vessel, and bricks in the bow area. While the exposed shipwrecks at Gosong Gili is only 20% left in fragmented form boilers, machine, and ivory vessel that might be a cultural heritage according to the UU RI Number 11 of 2010 on Cultural Heritage. At Nusa Island, the corals are consisted of Poritidae and Acroporidae families, and various species reef fishes. While at Gosong Gili, there are more coral families including Merulinidae, Poritidae and Acroporidae, but their reef fishes species are fewer than Nusa island.
