Abstract

This research aims to identify varian and types of Non Timber Forest Product (NTFP) utilization by the forest-community and to calculate the economic value of it in KPHL Kapuas Kahayan. The research was conducted by respondent survey and observation method with approach of NFTP resource utilization. The results showed that the types of NTFP used by the community are rubber, wood, rattan, wildanimal and forest honey, rubber is the highest and honeybee is the lowest utilized of NTFP by community. The economic value of the NTFP utilization are Rp. 684.450.000, -/year and rubber have the highest economic value.

Abstract

Villagers around the forest in Mangkatip village have utilized NonTimber Forest Products (NTFPs). This study aims to identify the types and forms of utilization of NTFPs by the community in Mangkatip village, Dusun Hilir sub-district, South Barito district, Central Kalimantan. The research method used was a respondents interviews with an analytical approach to the utilization of NTFPs by the community in the forest of Mangkatip Village. The results showed that the most utilization of NTFPs by the community in Mangkatip Village were Rattan, Beje Fish, Bajakah, Rubber and Purun, The form of NTFP utilization by the community is in the consumptive, productive and productive consumptive categories. NTFPs that are utilized are traditionally processed, to their own needs, while the use of industrial production is only Rattan

Abstract

Botanical Forest Park (Tahura) is very important to support human life and the environment. The purpose of the study was to analyze the structure of the vegetation community, including the level of diversity, and the similarity of the vegetation community. The research method follows the sampling technique procedure with the plot method. Data were analyzed using the Index of Important Value to test the mastery of the species, the Shannon-Wiener Index to test the level of diversity of vegetation species, and community stability, community similarity index to test the similarity between flora communities. The results obtained are the value of the species diversity index, in general, is included in the medium category, which means that productivity is sufficient, ecosystem conditions are quite balanced, and ecological pressure is moderate. The species evenness index is high, the species richness index is in the medium category, and the similarity index between plant communities is very high.
