Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between nurses' knowledge, attitudes, and skills with the implementation of the Early Warning System. This research is a quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach. This research was conducted at the Aceh Regional General Hospital. The population in this study were all nurses in the Inpatient Room with a sample of 209 nurses. The data were collected using a questionnaire as a research instrument and consisting of closed questions. The data were analyzed with SPSS using chi-square and logistic regression model, with a 95% confidence level and the odds ratio. The results showed that nurses' knowledge (p-value 0.017) and skills (p-value 0.001) influenced the implementation of the Early Warning System. Nurse skills are a significant factor, with an Odds Ratio (Exp. B) of 16.05. Therefore, it is recommended for every nurse to attend seminars, training, and other self-development activities. In this case, the increase in nurses' knowledge, attitudes, and skills are very influential in implementing the Early Warning System.
