Abstract

Artikel ini akan mengulas mengenai implementasi Pendidikan karakter dengan media Information Communication Technology atau disingkat ICT. Penulisan artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui makna dan pentingnya pelaksanaan Pendidikan karakter, mengetahui bagaimana Pendidikan karakter dapat diterapkan melalui ICT, serta mengetahui manfaat media Pendidikan ICT dalam pengembangan karakter siswa. Penelitian ini berfokus pada penerapan Pendidikan karakter melalui ICT pada siswa Sekolah Dasar. Peran media pembelajaran dalam tercapainya tujuan Pendidikan karakter menjadi sebuah hal penting. Pemilihan media pembelajaran yang tepat dapat menunjang efisiensi kegiatan belajar mengajar khususnya dalam penanaman karakter siswa. Sehingga diharapkan siswa dapat memiliki kemampuan intelektual sekaligus keterampilan fisik. Kegiatan belajar mengajar dengan media ICT merupakan sebuah sistem pembelajaran yang dalam prosesnya melakukan pemanfaatan atas teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Jenis penelitian menggunakan penelitian lapangan (field research) yang bersifat kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan belajar mengajar dengan media ICT lebih banyak pada penggunaan laptop, Proyektor dan speaker. Materi belajar disajikan dalam bentuk power point dan ditampilkan melalui proyektor. Kata kunci: Implementasi, Pendidikan Karakter, Media, Information Communication Technology (ICT) This article will review the implementation of character education with Information Communication Technology media or ICT for short. The writing of this article aims to find out the meaning and importance of implementing character education, find out how character education can be applied through ICT, and find out the benefits of ICT Education media in student character development. This research focuses on the application of character education through ICT to elementary school students. The role of learning media in achieving the objectives of character education is an important thing. The selection of the right learning media can support the efficiency of teaching and learning activities, especially in the cultivation of student character. So it is hoped that students can have intellectual abilities as well as physical skills. Teaching and learning activities with ICT media are a learning system that in the process utilizes information and communication technology. This type of research uses field research (field research) which is descriptive qualitative. Data collection is carried out by observation, interview and documentation methods. The results showed that teaching and learning activities with ICT media were more on the use of laptops, projectors and speakers. Learning materials are presented in the form of power points and displayed through a projector.
