Abstract

This article discusses the process of growth and development of children aged 2-3 years which is continuous throughout the stages of life, but the speed of growth varies according to the stages of age. In the development of children aged 2-3 years. To achieve development, children need to achieve it in accordance with the standards of the child's level of achievement: religious-moral, physical-motoric, cognitive, linguistic, social-emotional, and artistic, language and art. This article aims to describe the development of abilities of children aged 2-3 years from various aspects of developmental achievement. Development is the increase in abilities or skills in more complex body structures and functions in a regular and predictable pattern as a result of experience and the process of movement, intellectual, social and emotional maturation. Development is influenced by heredity, environment, culture and family values in each individual. The combination of these factors gives rise to the wide variety of variations that can be observed in children. Growth and development occur very rapidly, therefore stimulation of children at this age is very important because healthy and intelligent children will grow and develop optimally. The rate of growth and development of children aged 2-3 years which is described in various sources and guidelines in the national curriculum, there are proposed indicators of development in aspects of religious-moral, physical-motoric, cognitive, linguistic, social-emotional, and artistic. The method used for data collection is in the form of library research, which is a method that can study various reference books and the results of previous similar studies.

Abstract

Homeschooling has now become an option for the parent to educate the child. The cause is because of the negative news that accessed regarding formal education, this reduces the confidence of parents towards formal education. There are advantages and disadvantages of homeschooling. The data collection technique used by the author in this study is a literature study, namely by searching for data related to the discussion in the title of the research that the researcher took. In this study, relevant data were collected in various ways, namely by Literature Studies, Literature Studies, and Internet searches. Data Analysis Techniques The research is carried out using qualitative analysis techniques in a deductive way, which means from things or theories that are general in nature to draw conclusions that are specific. Homeschooling has become a trend in big cities in Indonesia. From this phenomenon, it can be estimated that homeschooling is increasingly needed by the community. At least the existence of homeschooling will fulfill about 10% of the total number of children in Indonesia.

Abstract

Children with special needs are children who have physical, intellectual, emotional, and social limitations that affect the child's development and growth processes compared to other children. Parents' attitudes and behaviors are very influential for the development of children with special needs because parental support provides a successful developmental process. This study aims to describe the forms, treatment, and factors of parental acceptance of the existence of children with special needs with literature review research methods from various literature reviews in reputable National journals. The results of the study showed various forms of parental acceptance of children with special needs in Early Childhood Education (PAUD) institutions.

Abstract

Stunting (short) is one of the problems in growth. Growth disorders can affect children's cognitive development. This study aims to determine whether there are differences in the cognitive abilities of children who are stunted and children who are not stunted in the Bukit Raya sub-district, Pekan Baru city, Riau province. This research is a quantitative research conducted through a survey method. The survey was conducted by detecting the child's stunting condition and assessing the child's cognitive abilities. The results of the research were concluded from a comparison of the cognitive abilities of the group of children who were stunted with children who were not stunted, through non- parameric statistical tests by using your t-test . Sign (+) n1=12, meanwhile sign (-) n2=4. The results of this study indicate that stunting affects early childhood cognitive abilities and it is hoped that with this research educators and parents can pay attention to and meet children's nutritional needs and measure children's growth and development every month so as to optimize children's cognitive development.
