Abstract

The increasing number of elderly the increasing number of health problems faced by the researcher. The social support in needed by the elderly who lived in panti werdha. The social support can affect the stress. The research aimed to find out the relationship between social support and stress of elderly lived in panti trisna werdha ILOMATA of gorontalo city. Design of research was Cross Sectional descriptive correlation. The population of research was elderly in gorontalo city amounted to 35 people. The technique of sampling was total sampling. The data analysis was done though several steps such as (1) Univariat analysis by using frequency distribution, and (2) Bivariat analysis to observe the relationship between variables. By applying  Chi Square, it obtained to 0,002 (p<0.02) meant the there was a relationship between social support toward stress of elderly lived in panti trisna werdha “ILOMATA” of gorontalo city. To conclude, social support has a significant relationship with stress of elderly who lived at home for elderly. Almost of elderly did not get a social support, so that almost of them got a high stress. Therefore. It suggests to the family and panti trisna werdha ilomata of gorontalo city, to give a good service to the elderly and to fulfill their needs.

Abstract

Hypertension is persistent blood pressure where the systolic pressure is above 140 mmHg and the diastolic pressure is above 90 mmHg. Hypertensive patients require good treatments. One of the them is diet management. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence dietary adherence in hypertensive patients at Prof. Dr.H. Aloei Saboe Hospital, Gorontalo city. This study was an analytic study with a cross-sectional study approach. Data were analyzed by univariate and bivariate (chi-square). The results of study showed that gender, age, education and disease severity effect on dietary adherence in hypertensive patients at Prof. Dr. H. Aloei Saboe Hospital, Gorontalo City. Thus researcher provided advice to patients with hypertension, that they should improve self-adherent to perform the diet for hypertension. And to hospital, they should be able to improve the quality of care and giving information about diet to the hypertensive patients. The researcher also advised the Health Office to arrange the programs related to increase of dietary adherence of hypertension.

Abstract

Lepers is a chronic disease that caused by infection of  mycrobacterium leprae, the first attacked peripheral nevers, and next attacked are skin, mucosa of the mouth, upper respiratory tract, system of retikuloindetial, eyes, muscle, bones, and testicular, except the system of central nervous. The purpose of this study is to know the relationship of knowledge, attitude, and family support in preventing effort of physical defect. The sample of this research are consist of 27 people, techniques sample in this study is total sampling. From the statistical test of chi-square found that there is a significant correlation between knowledge, attitude, and family support in preventing effort of physical defect.

Abstract

Typhoid fever is an endemic disease that is included in the health problems in developing countries, including Indonesia because it can bring the impact of increased morbidity and mortality. Typhoid fever is estimated to strike 22 million people per year with a mortality rate of 200,000 people per year. The purpose of this study was to determine how the relationship of knowledge and attitudes of families with typhoid patient anxiety in the child RSU MM Dunda Limboto Gorontalo district. The method used is a sectional descriptive study, with a total population of 55 families with a sample of 55 families, using consecutive sampling with inclusion criteria questionnaire measuring instrument. Knowledge and the independent variables and the dependent variable is the attitude of anxiety. Analysis of the data in this study using a statistical test "chi-square test". Results: The results of Chi Square test showed the value of  P value = 0.001 which is greater than α (0.05), then Ho is rejected Ha is received, there is a correlation and Chi Square Test Results show the value P value = 0.015 which is greater  than    α (0 , 05), then Ho is rejected Ha is received, there is a relationship. In conclusion, There is a significant correlation between. Family relationships Anxiety Patient Knowledge With typhoid in the Nursery RSU MM Dunda Limboto and Gorontalo Regency. Relationship Attitude Patients With Anxiety Family typhoid in the Nursery RSU MM Dunda Limboto Gorontalo district. Suggestions hoped this research may provide insight and improve knowledge and attitudes in minimizing anxiety typhoid patient's family in the child RSU MM Dunda Limboto Gorontalo Regency
