Abstract

Fintech innovation is one of the corporate strategies to increase profitability and firm performance. This study examines the firm's performance before and after the company launches fintech products. The sample of this study is the companies running fintech innovations for two years and previously also operated without them, which consisted of 19 companies from 51 licensed e-money providers in Indonesia. This limitation occurs because there are still many companies that have not published their financial statements. The event study method and paired sample t-test were used to test the research hypothesis. The results indicate a significant change in return on assets (ROA) but no significant change in return on equity (ROE). This study can contribute to the fintech industry regarding the profitability impact on companies before and after launching fintech products in Indonesia

Abstract

Munculnya risiko dalam kegiatan bisnis perusahaan berpotensi menghambat kinerja perusahaan dalam memaksimalkan nilai perusahaan sehingga dapat mempengaruhi kekayaan yang dimiliki oleh pemegang saham. Tujuan dalam penelitian adalah mengetahui pengaruh Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) terhadap corporate value. Terdapat 87 perusahaan manufaktur yang memenuhi kriteria digunakan sebagai sampel dalam penelitian ini setelah dilakukan purposive sampling. Sumber data pada penelitian ini merupakan data sekunder yaitu laporan keuangan dan laporan tahunan tahun 2016-2020 dari setiap sampel perusahaan dan akan dibantu oleh program software Stata 13 dalam pengujian data. Dalam penelitian ini juga menggunakan 3 variabel kontrol yaitu firm size, leverage, dan age. Diperoleh hasil penelitian yaitu pengaruh signifikan positif ERM terhadap corporate value. Robustness test menunjukkan bahwa hasil penelitian yang ditemukan valid serta tidak bias karena adanya persamaan hasil yang diperoleh saat uji regresi dan robustness test. Hasil penelitian ini berimplikasi pada regulator, praktisi, dan akademisi. Lewat adanya penemuan ini memberikan dukungan pada perusahaan untuk mengadopsi sistem manajemen risiko yang lebih terintegrasi dan komprehensif yaitu ERM.

Abstract

This study aims to implement a website-based inventory management system using the EOQ and ROP methods to control the inventory of products owned by Baby Stuff Batam to obtain more profits and more effective operational performance. From the results of the interview with the business owner of Baby Stuff Batam, it is known that the owner often has difficulty managing the stock of products because of the large number of product stocks that are excess or lacking, and the business owner only relies on handwritten notes. The results of this study are the output generated in the inventory management system in the form of stock reports, purchase and sale transaction reports, and EOQ reports to find out the right amount and time to buy the products. After implementing a website-based inventory management system on Baby Stuff Batam, the results are quite positive and useful for increasing the effectiveness of partner business operational performance.
