Abstract

Welding is a joining technique in production process which weld two metals or more using heat energy Physical property near welding zone changes in microstructure, deformation and thermal stress in order to minimize a negative effects, it is required a correct procedure in welding, selection of optimum welding current and heat input. Welding joint in steel countruction or pressure vessel has to fullfill the welding standard such as, high stress property 27 joule for temperature – 50oC and 100 joule for 0oC. The aim of this research is to investigate the Effect of variation in welding current, welding speed and heat input on microstructure of main metal and HAZ. Experimental work is done using optic microscope, hardness test and univercal machine. The purpose of the research is to obtain optimum welding parameter related which micro structure and mechanical properties of weld metal and HAZ. The variation in heat input are 2 kg/mm, 3kg/mm, 4kg/mm. The variation of welding speed are 7 mm/s, 4,7 mm/s and 3,5 mm/s at current of 400 Ampere,mean while at 600 Ampere the variation in welding speed are 10,5mm/s, 7mm/s, 5,25mm/s. The result shaws that microstructure is dominated by ferit size and ferit Widmanstatten. The highest hardness of 164,98 VHN is found at welding zone of specimen A with welding current of 400 Amper, welding speet of 7 mm/s and heat input of 2kg/mm. Tension and yielding stress of 567 and 472 MP occur for specimen A1 with 600 Ampere welding speed of 7 mm/s and heat input of 2kg/mm.

Abstract

PLN main source of power supply from PLN is very influential on electricity supply for the community. Electrical energy from PLN sometimes often occur blackouts. The need for reliable power supply is indispensable to residential consumers, especially in home industries. From these problems, this research is conducted to realize the control system used to transition the power supply with the main power supply from PLN and backup power supply from Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and Genset. This study produces an automatic power supply transition which has two backup power supplies in the form of UPS and Genset. From the analysis of residential houses that have PLN 450 VA subscription, the system will work with a 12 Volt UPS battery at a current capacity of 28,125 A, and a capacity of Genset 800 VA. The automatic power supply transition system will instruct the UPS power supply to be connected when the PLN main supply is disconnected, after a UPS battery low will command the Genset for the starter, and when the generator is in stable condition the power supply will switch to the power supply Genset. At the time of PLN power supply source again available load will be transferred system to PLN source.

Abstract

Pada proses las, gerakan elektoda dan posisi pengelasan berpengaruh pada sifat mekanik hasil las.Penelitian ini membahas pengaruh gerakan elektroda danposisi pengelasan dalam proses pengelasan terhadap perubahan sifat kekerasan yang terjadi pada baja SSC 41 . Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen faktorial, dimana terdapat dua faktor yaitugerakanelektrodadan posisi pengelasan . Pada posisi pengelasan ada tiga posisi yaitu posisi datar, vertikal dan atas kepala. Pada gerakan elektroda ada tiga gerakan yaitu gerakan pola melingkar, pola zig-zag dan pola C. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, gerakelektrodadanposisi pengelasan yang digunakan mempunyai pengaruh nyata terhadap nilai kekerasan, nilai kekerasan Vikers tertinggi rata-rata 513,891 Kg/mm2 terjadi pada posisi pengelasan atas kepala dan pada variabel gerakan elektroda pola C. Sebaliknyanilai kekerasan Vikers terendah rata-rata 441,348 kg/mm2 terjadi pada posisi pengelasan datar dan pada gerakan elektroda pola zig-zag.

Abstract

Blok rem kereta api merupakan komponen kereta api yang berfungsi untuk menghentikan kereta pada saat dibutuhkan, blok rem adalah salah satu komponen kereta api yang habis dipakai sehingga kehandalan rem diperlukan untuk kendaraan seberat dan sebesar Kereta Api. Batasan masalah pada penelitian pengaruh proses heat treatment terhadap sifat mekanis blok rem kereta api. Bahan blok rem kereta apiTemperatur : 750°C, 800°C , 850°C, Waktu : 30, 60, dan 120 menit, pendinginan didapur pemanas. Pengujian yang digunakan meliputi : pengujian kekerasan (rockwell). Penelitian pengaruh proses heat treatment terhadap sifat mekanis blok rem kereta api, memperoleh hasil sebagai berikut Berdasarkan data komposisi bahan blok rem kereta api dan perhitungan karbon equivalen (CE) 3,936, bahan blok rem kereta api merupakan jenis besi tuang kelabu (gray iron). Temperatur heat treatment berpengaruh terhadap harga kekerasan bahan blok rem kereta api. Temperatur kritis (A1) besi tuang kelabu yang digunakan sebagai blok rem kereta api berdasarkan kandungan komposisi kimia adalah 765,585 °C (1413,635 °F). Proses heat treatment dibawah temperatur kritis menyebabkan penurunan harga kekerasan, sedangkan proses heat treatment diatas temperatur kritis menyebabkan peningkatan harga kekerasan, menunjukan harga kekerasan yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan raw material.

Abstract

Program Kota Tanpa Kumuh (Kotaku) adalah program penanganan kawasan kumuh di kota yang dibiayai dari APBD Kota Yogyakarta dan bantuan dari pemerintah Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta dan juga pemerintah pusat. Salah satu program penanganan kawasan kumuh yang dilakukan adalah di kelurahan Pringgokusuman yang berlokasi di RW 03 dan RW. 22, yang berada di bantaran sungai Winongo. Pengabdian Masyarakat bekerjasama dengan Badan Keswadayaan Masyarakat (BKM) Pringgomukti Kelurahan Pringgokusuman Kecamatan Gedongtengen Kota Yogyakarta. Fokus pelaksanaan program Kotaku adalah pendampingan pembuatan saran pembuangan limbah rumah tangga. Teknis pelaksanaan dengan membangun sistem perpipaan yang meliputi perpipaan air hujan, perpipaan limbah rumah tangga dan perpipaan sanitasi. Di RW tersebut terpasang 5 biofiller beserta sistem saluran perpipaan. Sistem perpipaan dipasang di bawah jalan rumah warga. Sehingga program Kotaku juga merupakan perbaikan jalan perumahan warga. Kontruksi jalan dibangun menggunakan konblok, sehingga menjadi lebih rapi dan bersih serta mudah perawatannya. Kata kunci: kumuh, kota, limbah, rumah tangga
