Abstract

Most of the residents in Ketawang village have side jobs as stock farmers. The population of breeders is 254 people with the number of livestock as many as 489 cows. This service activity is carried out with the aim. Of increasing the knowledge of farmers in Ketawang village regarding the FMD outbreak. This service activity was chosen to broaden the public's knowledge about preventing and handling FMD in their livestock. DIMES (discussion, mediation, and socialization) was then chosen as a problem-solving step because it was considered appropriate to involve active participation from the village because it involved the village's problems and affected the income sources of the villagers. The stages carried out in this service activity consist of (1) Preparation of socialization needs, (2) Implementation of the results of training and mentoring programs, (3) Monitoring and evaluation, (4) Outcomes, and (5) Schedule of activities. Results of this service activity have proven to be useful in increasing knowledge related to FMD. Implementation of monitoring shows that stock farmers respond positively by spraying disinfectants according to what has been taught. Implementation of the evaluation proved that many residents were satisfied with the course of this activity.

Abstract

Currently Senggowar Village is entering the dry season, where most of the farmers here grow chili as a very profitable commodity. As one of the Work Projects from the Real Work Lecture (KKN) carried out in Senggowar village, Nganjuk regency. In determining and analyzing the problems that occur, you use the PAR method (Participatory Action Research) which involves the participation of resource persons and the surrounding community as data sources. The problem found in the field is that just before harvest time, chili plants should be able to produce superior chili products, but they are attacked by Patek disease (anthracnose) which makes chili plants less productive, which causes farmers to lose money. The activity carried out was counseling about preventing Patek disease (anthracnose) in chili plants, this activity aimed to provide knowledge about Patek disease and how to prevent it, so that losses caused by Patek disease do not recur. The purpose of this outreach is that farmers can know about how to prevent Patek disease in chili plants and be able to actualize it when entering the planting season.

Abstract

Waste is a problem that is being experienced by all humans in this modern era. Waste is the root of the problem of environmental damage and global warming. It is necessary to do a way of handling and processing waste so that environmental damage can be prevented. Senggowar Village in Nganjuk Regency can also play a role in treating waste that exist in the community. With the majority of people as farmers, organic fertilizer processing from household waste is the right choice. Therefore, training is carried out to the community so that they can understand how to make processed organic waste into organic fertilizer.

Abstract

One of the interesting tourist destinations in Lumajang Regency is B29 Tourism Village in Argosari Village, Senduro District. From here, visitors can enjoy views of Mount Bromo, the highest peak in the Sand Sea area, which is located about 40 kilometers from Lumajang City and has a height of about 2900 meters above sea level. Argosari Village also has amazing natural beauty, making it an attraction for tourists. The Lumajang Regency Government has a policy that regulates the tourism sector through the cultural tourism office. Garbage is a common problem for the wider community, especially in the people of Gedok Hamlet, Argosari Village, Senduro District, Lumajang Regency. The unavailability of trash bins has led to the habit of burning garbage which can cause air pollution, and throwing garbage in vacant land or ravines which can cause environmental damage. This service focuses on the waste problems that occur in Gedok Hamlet, to reduce littering we provide several trash cans that can be useful for Gedok Hamlet residents to dispose of waste in its place. This service uses the PAR (Participatory Action Research) method, which involves community participation through interviews and observations of the community around Gedok Hamlet as a data source. This service aims to provide benefits and good impacts on waste problems that occur both in Gedok Hamlet and in the wider community, so that they understand the impact of waste on the environment and health.
