Abstract

Selecting study program is important things that must decide for high school student in Indonesia. However, students often have difficulties to explore the field of study which match with him. Technology can be used as a tool for making a decision, for example by using android application. Android platform has advantages because it is easy to accessible and familiar in teenagers in Indonesia. In this research, an application was developed by Rational Unified Process methodology. The selection of study program is done with knowing personality type. There are 6 criteria in defining personality type with RIASEC method: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, Conventional. Personality type can be known after user filled the questionnaire in an application. Next, an application can display study program that matches the type of user personality. From evaluation and analysis, the result showed that application is easy to use. It is expected that this application can be a simulated application which provides information and solutions in advance to selecting study program in universities.

Abstract

Sisdamas Community Service Program is a community service model developed by UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. This model is a form of Education-based service that involves collaboration between facilitators from the UIN Sunan Gunung Djati and the community. The model was developed as a framework for implementing Community Service Programs in assessing the situation and conditions of the community and developing work plans. The purpose of this article is to describe what and how Sisdamas Community Service Program and the challenges of implementing the model and future implementation opportunities

Abstract

The aim of this research is studying the level of learning autonomy and future orientation students and correlation between those two variables. Quantitative design with correlational method was used. Sample are 62 students studying at vacational school majoring in textile chemistry SMKN7 Bandung. Result shows that there is positive correlation between learning autonomy and future orientation. High learning autonomy will make optimistic in future orientation while low learning autonomy result pesimistic future orientation.

Abstract

This research based on phenomena about students whose positive and negative perception about school life. Those two perceptions are expected effecting achievement motive and effort in learning process. This quantitative research used caused and effect correlation. Population are 34 students from grade IX SMP Mika Bakti. Simple regression analysis is used to study the effect in this research. Statistical analysis result shows F value is 0.139 with significant level 0.712 (not significant) and probability value is 0,712 more than  0,05. It is concluded that student perception about school life does not significantly effect achievement motive on students at SMP IX Mika Bakti Ciparay.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to test the influence of career commitment and subjective career success toward readiness to change. The subject of this study were 41 full time teachers who work in SMA ,which is hold the status of Pioneering International Standard-Based School and now this school is being process of change to become International Standard Based Schol. Data was collected by three measuring instruments or questionaires, namely by career commitment, subjective career success and readiness for change. Measurements were conducted using path analysis, with the assistence by software Statistical Packages for Social Science (SPSS) 17.0 for Windows. The result of this research showed that hypothesis to be tested was significan,. It means that readiness to change could be predicted by career commitment and subjective career succes, either simultaneously or partially. The amount of power influence of career commitment is 24.76 % (0.2476). Subjective Career Success toward readiness to change is 16,61% (0,166). Simultaneously, the amount of influence  of career commitment and subjective career success toward readiness to change is 41,4% (0,144)

Abstract

The debate about the religiosity definition is still going on until now. The religion psychologist have not a consensus yet about the religiosity definitiont. It impacted in doubt about the use of the existing religiosity scale. Some attempts in explaining religiosity from the Islamic perspective has been done by some psychologists from the Islamic world. This article attempts to explain the cause of lacking consensus regarding the notion of religiosity through study on conception of religiosity in the West’s understanding, as well as efforts that have been made by the Islamic world in making the formulation regarding concept of the Islamic thought and traditions including criticisms and suggestions for further development of the notion religiosity to be used in the Muslim community.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore how the Islamic Sundanese adolescents experience and express their anger. A total of 697 students from two high school in Bandung and Tasikmalaya participated in the survey. Data was qualitatively collected using a questionnaire that recorded the causes and expressions of the participants’ anger. The obtained data was analyzed using content analysis. The findings suggest three emerging themes regarding the causes of anger among the Sundanese adolescents: 1) related to disturbing situations, 2) related to people (attitudes, behaviors and personal characteristics), and 3) related to other things (mood, feelings of depression, and physiological conditions). Participants mostly expressed their anger through passive and non-verbal expressions. Their reactions towards anger appeared to be associated with their Islamic religious values (which most participants were affiliated with), such as taking wudhu, istigfhar, pray, be patient and sincere, as well as perform sholat.

Abstract

Women who are married at the same time choose to work will easily be led to work family conflicts in which women will be faced with the demands of their respective roles. The purpose of this study was to determine whether family work conflated had an effect on psychological well being of female employees working in factories. This research is included in a quantitative study conducted on 108 female employees with an age range of 25-55 years and have a minimum service period of 1-2 years. Data was collected through filling out a questionnaire by modifying the work family conflict scale instrument from Khairuni Atikah (2018) based on Greenhaus Beutell's theory (1985) and the psychological well being scale from Mamluatul Khoiroh (2015) based on Ryff's theory (1989). Data analysis in this study used a simple regression analysis using the SPSS (Statistical Program for Social Science) version 24.0. The results of the research that has been done show that work family conflict has a negative effect on psychological well being where Y = a + bX (Y = 85,968 - 0.466 X = 85,502 X). The regression coefficient value obtained is -0.466 proves that the increasing work family conflict of an employee will affect the decrease in psychological well being, because any increase or decrease in the work family conflict variable will cause an increase or decrease in the psychological well being variable. , and the magnitude of the effect of work family conflict on psychological wel being is 20.6%, while the rest is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the role of work-life balance and career commitment toward the subjective career success of female employees. Participants of this study were 52 female employees in a state-owned company (BUMN) in The City of Bandung. The data collection of research was conducted using a subjective career success scale, work-life balance scale, and career commitment scale. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study showed a significant influence of work-life balance and career commitment on subjective career success. Subsequent findings suggest that work-life balance significantly affects subjective career success. And career commitment is not significant in influencing subjective career success
