Abstract

ABSTRACT Blood pressure consists of pressure systole and diastole. Stroke is a brain disorder caused by a pathological process in the blood vessel system of the brain. Stroke can cause various neurological deficits. The purpose of this study was to determine systolic and diastolic blood pressure in the normal hand side and hand side that was paralyzed in stroke patients. This study is quantitative with descriptive research design. The population was stroke patients who had parese in Mojowarno Hospital consisting of 45 respondents selected using simple random sampling and instruments using questionnaires. The results of the study obtained gender mostly male 30 people (66%) and aged 61-70 years as many as 25 people (56%) and almost half of the respondents were elementary school level as many as 22 people (49%) and most of the work was private as much 27 people (61%). Whereas the measurement of respondent's blood pressure with mean hand systole with a value of 145 and mean diastole with a value of 92, while the mean extremity of systole with a value of 147 and mean diastole with a value of 94. There is no difference in blood pressure measurement results. between the sides of the normal hand with the parese side of the hand. Both the normal and hand side of the hand that parese has the same opportunity or possibility to produce higher or lower results. This result is also used to prove that the measurement of blood pressure on one side of the hand cannot represent measurements on both hands because vascular abnormalities can occur anywhere both right and left hand, so that examination of just one side of the hand can cause poor interpretation of results right. Keywords: Measuring, Blood Pressure, Stroke.

Abstract

Abstract Diarrhea is still a major cause of morbidity and mortality at all ages. Diarrhea is a complaint that is often found in adults. Honey is a natural liquid derived from plant nectar produced by honey bees, as a drug with millions of benefits it has been known since ancient times. This study aims to analyze the effect of honey treatment on diarrhea in adolescence. The research design in this study used Quasy Experimental Design (quasi experimental design) with Control Time Series Design. Determination of samples using consecutive sampling, with a sample size of 16 respondents, while the variables studied were honey and diarrhea. This research was conducted at the age of adolescents at the As'adiyah Dormitory of the Darul ‘Ulum Jombang Islamic Boarding School. Methods of data collection with observation sheets and data obtained were analyzed by repeated measures statistical test with significance α <0.05. Whereas from the computerized test results it was found that α = 0.013 based on the consistency of BAB and α = 0.001 based on BAB frequency which means that there is an effect of giving honey to diarrhea in adolescents. The results of this study show that honey treatment is effectivel to  diarrhea in adolescents. Thus the next researcher can develop and continue to need to look for other factors related to diarrhea by expanding the sample and using questionnaires or observation sheets and in processing other data. Keywords: Diarrhea, Honey treatment, Adolescents in As’adiyah dormitory

Abstract

Abstract Pleural effusion is a tern used for fluid accumulation in the pleural cavity. In the normal pleural cavity there is serous fluid with a average amount of 0,1 ml/kg/day (which is in the state of homeostatis there are 5-15 ml of fluid in the pleural movements. The stability of the amount of pleural fluid is regulated though a balance mechanism between transudation of pleura; capillaries and reabsorption by visceral and pariental veins, and lymph nodes. This reserch method of scientific writing is a case study with four patients. This case study literatur a nursing process stage approach that experiences pleural effusion with an ineffective breathing pattern. This conducting nursing literatur study on pleural effusion clients is found diagnosis of an ineffective breath pattern. All clients are resolved, unles one of the client’s Tn. S (46 year) is not resolved due to the attack disease. The achievement of the healing of disease is necessary to evaluate continuously and directed by the record of development, also required knowledge of the regular therapeutic program and management of nursing care with a cooperation between nurses, clients, and other health teams. Keywords: Nursing care, pleural effusion, case study.
