Abstract

Internalization program especially student mobility program incampus is important not only to improve the quality of the campusbut also to improve the students’ quality. By joining the program, thestudent can learn many thing, such as culture, all about SDGs, ect.The main thing of the student mobility program is the EFL haschance to practice their skill to speaking during the program. Theprogram done virtually for 2 weeks. This research aims to describethe speaking improvement through student mobility program. Thisresearch belongs to pre-experimental design with pre-test and posttest. The population and sample is 10 students as the representativeof Indonesia campus, and the sampling technique used is totalsampling. The data was analysed statistically and provided thequalitative data to strength the research. There are five indicatorsthat have been improved, such as pronunciation, grammar,vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. It can be concluded thatthere is a significant different before and after joining studentmobility program.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the effect of dictogloss techniqueon improving the writing ability of students on descriptive text attenth grade students of SMK Muhammadiyah Kudus in the academicyear of 2019/2020. This study was classroom action research usingmodel of Kemmis dan McTaggart containing reconnaissance,planning, action dan observation and reflextion conducted in twocycles. The total samples of this study were all students of tenthgrade of SMK Muhammadiyah Kudus consisting of 70 students.Later on, the data were collected through observation, interview andtests using interview guidlines, observation sheet and English writingrubric and then analyzed using descriptive analysis. This studyshowed that the use of dictogloss technique was able to improvewriting skill of descriptive text for students. It can be seen from thedifferent means from pre test and post test in the way that mean scoreof pre test was 8, in the cycle one was 9.5, in the cycle two was11.63, and in the post test was 14,5. Furthermore, based on theapplication of its technique the students were able to generate theiridea to produce well organized descriptive texts. They were also ableto use the appropiate vocabulary, grammar, punctuation, spelling andcapitalization in the writing. During the teaching and learning processthey also showed positive responses towards the lesson,enthusiastically joined the teaching and learning activities and did thetask well.

Abstract

TikTok is one of the popular applications that contain short-video sharing. Every year, the number of users grows up in every country. They use TikTok not only as the media for entertainment and business but also as the media for learning. The aim of this research is to describe the effect of the TikTok application to improve students’ speaking skills. This research belongs to quasi-experimental research with group pre-post-test design involving 32  students in Diploma of Midwifery Program Universitas Muhammadiyah Kudus as the population. The sampling technique is total sampling with the experimental group (16 students) and control group (16 students). To know the students’ speaking skills, there are four components that must be measured, such as vocabulary, fluency, pronunciation, and comprehension. Moreover, the students’ score has been classified into five categories, they are very good, good, medium, low, and failed. After treatment, the score of speaking ability is improved for the experimental group. The vocabulary increases 45,6%, fluency increases 40,6%, pronunciation increases 31,6%, and comprehension increases 32,8% from the pre-test score. TikTok is a useful application that not only improves  speaking ability but also improves the students’ creativity, motivation, and vocabulary.If the students have wrong in speaking, they not only get the academic punishment but also digital punishment.

Abstract

Background : The World Health Organization (2016) states that gout sufferers worldwide have reached 335million. Gout Arthritis is a disease characterized by sudden, recurrent and painful attacks due to the presence of monosodium urate crystal deposits or uric acid that collect in the joints as a result of high levels of uric acid in the blood / hyperuricemia that can cause pain.  Objective : This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of leg training with the Romanian deadlift technique on daily activities in arthritis gout patients.Method : This type of research used Quasi Experiment Design with a pretest-posttest control design group design with one type of treatment, using a sampling technique take by Non Probability Sampling with purposive sampling method with a sample size of 38 respondents, 19 respondents in the intervention group and 19 respondents in the control group. Collecting data using a questionnaire sheet and leg training interventions with the Romanian deadlift technique.Results : This type of research used Quasi Experiment Design with a pretest-posttest control design group design with one type of treatment, using a sampling technique. The results of the study using the Wilcoxon test showed that the p value was 0.000 (p <0.05) and the dependent test was the p value of 0.008. (p <0.05).Consclusion : There is an effect of leg training with the romanian deadlift technique on the ability of daily activities in arthritis gout patients at Puskesmas Gribig, Kudus Regency.

Abstract

Melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tiggi merupakan salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan taraf hidup. Angka Partisipasi Kasar (APK) perguruan tinggi di Indonesia masih rendah, dengan angka pencapaian 34,58%. Angka tersebut masih tertinggal dengan negara tetangga Malaysia 50%, Singapura 78%, dan Korea Selatan 98%. Permasalahan yang ditemukan di MAN 2 Jepara adalah 80% siswa tidak tertarik untuk melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi, minimnya akses untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang program beasiswa, manfaat dan tujuan melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi, serta informasi sebelum, ketika dan setelah selesai melaksakan pendidikan di perguruan tinggi. Kegiatan Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di MAN 2 Jepara dengan memberikan pelatihan motivasi untuk studi lanjut peguruan tinggi, serta pendampingan serta pendekatan yang intensif agar siswa tertarik untuk melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi. Hasil pengabdian pada masyarakat yang telah dilaksanakan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan siswa kelas XII tentang informasi melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi, prioritas masalah berdasarkan hasil pendataan yaitu rendahnya minat siswa untuk melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi, perlu adanya evaluasi dan tindak lanjut setelah dilakukan pengabdian masyarakat ini dan perlu adanya pendampingan yang intensif untuk memberikan motivasi ke siswa kelas XII untuk melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi .

Abstract

Mempersiapkan kelahiran bagi buah hati, merupakan hal yang sangat dinanti oleh seorang ibu. Tetapi proses tersebut juga membuat sang ibu gelisah dan khawatir bagaimana cara mendidik anak dengan baik agar sang anak dapat sesuai dengan harapan orang tua. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah penyuluhan bagi ibu di kelas ibu hamil. Populasi dalam pengabdian ini adalah seluruh ibu yang tergabung di kelas ibu hamil desa Jepang Kudus. Hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah 80% ibu sudah mempunyai gambaran persiapan apa yang harus dilakukan untuk menyambut kelahiran anaknya. Dari segi pengetahuan mental, 70% ibu pengetahuan mental ibu meningkat dan 75% pengetahuan spiritual ibu meningkat. Dengan adanya peningkatan tersebut, diharapkan ibu semakin siap untuk menyambut kelahiran buah hati mereka baik dari sisi kesehatan, mental dan spiritual. Perlu adanya pendampingan yang intensif bagi ibu menjelang persalinan dan setelah persalinan baik dari segi mental, spiritual maupun kesehatan.

Abstract

Schizophrenia is a severe mental disorder that is unable to recognize realistically and loses self-view or is unable to assess oneself or measure one's own strengths and weaknesses. One of the causes of schizophrenia is psychological factors, namely the inability to overcome existing problems. Objective : to determine the effect of cognitif therapy on adherence to taking medication in patients with mental disorders with schizophrenia at the Jekulo Kudus Jalma Sehat Foundation. Method: The type of this research is a quasi-experimental with a cross-sectional approach, the population of this study is 63 respondents. Results: The results of the statistical analysis of the Willcoxon test obtained p value = 0.001 which is less than the significance level ɑ <0.05. then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. there is "The Effect of Cognitif Therapy on Compliance with Taking Medication in Patients with Mental Disorders with Schizophrenia at the Jalma Sehat Jekulo Kudus Foundation". Conclusions: there is "The Effect of Cognitif Therapy on Compliance with Taking Medication in Patients with Mental Disorders with Schizophrenia at the Jalma Sehat Jekulo Kudus Foundation".
