Abstract

Occupational diseases that are common are Low Back Pain. A non-ergonomic attitude and working manner will cause one to risk experiencing lower back pain. Low back pain is one of the musculoskeletal disorders caused by poor body activity. The study aimeds to determine the relationship of work posture to the risk of LBP complaints on nurses IGD RSUD dr. Dradjat Prawiranegara Serang. The study was obsevational analytics through Cross Sectional approach. Research respondents were 37 nurses used total sampling technique. Measurement of work posture used Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) and measurement of LBP complaints questionnaire used The Pain and Distress Scale. Statistical test used Chi Square test with significant level 0,05. The result of univariate analysis on work posture found that almost half of respondents (45,9%) had low risk, while (35,1%) in medium category. The result of bivariate analysis found that there was a significant correlation between the nurse worker's job and the low back pain on the nurse who worked in the Emergency Department (IGD) with the p value of 0.000. Suggestions from the results of the studied is expected for the management of the hospital to pay attention to the needs of nurses, especially related to the safety and health of workers, and also provides health education on ergonomics work posture by providing opportunities for nurses to follow informal activities related to work ergonomics.
