Abstract

The purpose of this study to determine the type of pepper (Capsicum spp.) In agricultural areas chili Biromaru Sigi Regency-Biromaru and family links as well as the resulting learning media in the form of modules on pepper plants. The method used is descriptive method and development (Research and Development). Population was all varieties of pepper plants totaling nine varieties were found and 24 students who has programmed the course Botany Plant High. To see the kinship used 62 morphological characters from the roots, stems, leaves, flowers, fruits and seeds. Similarity index was calculated using the Simple Matching Coefisient and determination of kinship using UPGMA algorithm and modules using descriptive statistics qualitative assessment instrument. The results showed that of the nine varieties of chili are discovered and researched form two clusters, the first cluster consists of Binocular, Jenggo and Lado F1 (Capsicum annuum L.) and the second cluster consists of Madun, Gods F1, santika, Chakra White, Cayenne pepper small , Mhanu (Capsicum frutescens L). Kinship close relationship is lado F1 varieties and Jenggo (Cluster 1) the similarity index of 100% and are the furthest relationship Mhanu varieties (klaster2) with a similarity index of 78%. Then proceed with the creation of teaching materials instrument modules are assessed using descriptive statistics qualitative assessment by a team of experts, lecturers partner, test a small group and large group trials with a total percentage of 82%.
