Abstract

Abstract. Acne is a health problem that is often found on the skin and bothers both physically and psychologically. Based on previous research, soursop leaves have activity against the bacteria Propionibacterium acnes which is the bacteria that causes acne. The purpose of this study was to make a clay peel off mask formulation containing ethanolic extract of soursop leaves as an anti-acne. In this study, soursop leaf extract was made with 95% ethanol solvent using the maceration method. Extract activity test against P. acnes was carried out using the diffusion method so that the well method produced a MIC value at a concentration of 0.06% with an inhibitory diameter of 8.81 mm. The manufacture of clay peel off masks from soursop leaf ethanol extract was made based on the gelation reaction between sodium alginate and calcium sulfate. Clay peel off mask with a concentration of 15% ethanolic extract of soursop leaves is the most optimum formulation based on pharmaceutical evaluation and is known to have antibacterial activity against P. acnes. Abstrak. Jerawat merupakan masalah kesehatan yang sering ditemukan pada kulit dan mengganggu baik secara fisik maupun psikis. Berdasarkan penelitian sebelumnya, daun sirsak memiliki aktivitas terhadap bakteri Propionibacterium acnes yang merupakan bakteri penyebab jerawat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk membuat formulasi sediaan masker clay peel off mengandung ekstrak etanol daun sirsak sebagai antijerawat. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pembuatan ekstrak daun sirsak dengan pelarut etanol 95% menggunakan metode maserasi. Uji aktivitas ekstrak terhadap P. acnes dilakukan dengan metode difusi agar cara sumuran menghasilkan nilai KHM pada konsentrasi 0,06% dengan diameter hambat sebesar 8,81 mm. Pembuatan masker clay peel off ekstrak etanol daun sirsak dibuat berdasarkan reaksi gelasi antara natrium alginat dan kalsium sulfat. Masker clay peel off dengan konsentrasi 15% ekstrak etanol daun sirsak merupakan formulasi yang paling optimum berdasarkan evaluasi farmasetik dan diketahui memiliki aktivitas antibakteri terhadap P. acnes.
