Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the talking stick learning model and achievement motivation on social studies learning outcomes for class VIII students. This research method uses the experimental method. Data collection techniques using tests, questionnaires, and documentation. A sample of 64 respondents was taken from a total population of 351 students of SMP Negeri 1 Pematang Siantar. The data analysis technique used normality test, hypothesis testing with multiple linear regression analysis and t test and F test. The results showed that the talking stick learning model and achievement motivation had a positive and significant influence on students' social studies learning outcomes.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh disiplin belajar dan motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa. Metode penelitian menggunakan ex post facto pada pendekatan kuatitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data mengguakan angket dan dokumentasi. Responden adalah 86 siswa di salah satu SMP di Kota Pematang Siantar. Teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa disiplin belajar dan motivasi belajar memiliki pengaruh yang positif terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa dengan signifikan 0,042 < 0,05 dan Fhitung 3,289 > Ftabel 3,11. Jadi H0 di tolak dan Ha diterimah. Dengan demikian, hasil belajar siswa dapat ditingkatkan melalui peningkatan disiplin belajar dan motivasi belajar siswa. So H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus, student learning outcomes can be improved through increased learning discipline and student motivation.
