Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of work-life balance, organizational culture, emotional intelligence directly or indirectly through job satisfaction on employee performance at PT Pos (Persero) Pematang Siantar Office. This type of research is descriptive with a quantitative data approach. The population in this study were employees at PT Pos Kantor (Persero) Pematang Siantar, amounting to 51 people and the sample in this study also amounted to 51 people. The data collection method used in this research is by using questionnaires, interviews and observations. The data analysis technique used is path analysis with the help of SPSS. The results of this study found that work-life balance has a significant effect on job satisfaction and employee performance, organizational culture has a significant effect on job satisfaction and employee performance, emotional intelligence has a significant effect on job satisfaction and employee performance. Job satisfaction is able to significantly mediate the effect of work-life balance, organizational culture, emotional intelligence on employee performance.

Abstract

One of the empowerment of micro small businesses carried out by the Regional Government of Deli Serdang is the utilization of cassava as a raw material for agroindustry which has the potential to be developed and has a profitable market potential for MSMEs. In order to increase income, as one of the government's policies, namely increasing the agro-industry program. In this program, cassava farming and its agro-industry provide an opportunity to be an alternative choice. This can be done because of the advantages possessed by cassava plants, namely besides having a relatively high adaptability and relatively easier farming, and also various benefits, both for food and non-food. The purpose of this study was to determine the cost structure, acceptance, income, and feasibility of processing cassava into opaque. This study used a sampling method in the form of a census on cassava agro-industry, with all respondents processing cassava into opaque craftsmen as many as 35 people. Methods of data collection using questionnaires and field observations. The data analysis tool used is the analysis of the structure of costs, revenues, revenues and R/C. The results of the research show that variable costs are the biggest costs compared to other costs. The average cost of production incurred by MSMEs is IDR 293,071,511 per month, the average income is IDR 318,000,000 per month and the average income is IDR. 24,928,489 per month, with an R/C ratio of 1.08 which means that the cassava agro-industry is profitable or feasible to develop in the research area

Abstract

This paper presents a new and significant contribution to the socio-cultural and economic fields, in particular looking at the relationship of cultural values to the improvement of the community's economy through the tourism business in the Samosir district.  The results of the study show that in general the values of local wisdom, namely cultural values, aesthetic values, spiritual values, ethical values, and economic values, have direct and mediated tourism competitive advantages mediated by promotions. However, social value has no significant effect on competitive advantage either directly or mediated by promotion. The use of local cultural wisdom values for tourism competitive advantage is one of the strategies in an effort to increase tourism in Samosir district so that it can improve the economic life of the people of Samosir district.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the role of village officials, village apparatus competence, community participation, and information technology on village financial management accountability. The method for determining the sample is proportional stratified random sampling and data collection using a questionnaire. This study shows that community participation and information technology have a significant effect on village financial management accountability. This study shows that the better community participation and information technology are, the better the accountability of village financial management. Meanwhile, the role and  competence of village officials do not affect the accountability of village financial management. The competence of village officials in this study is still inadequate and still requires regular assistance and training for accountability in village financial management.
