Abstract

Tanjung Selamat Village is one of the villages located in Sunggal District, Deli Serdang Regency, Nort Sumatra Province, Indonesia. According to data from the Tanjung Selamat Village population census, this village is a village with a low level of disability. There are only 0.001% of the total population with disabilities. However, technological advancements in the village have advanced, the community is familiar with the term metaverse, thia Cn be seen from the number of internet users in the village because the internet is part of the metaverse. The goal of this study was to determine the evolution of metaverse use for deaf people. This study combines descriptive research with an observational approach to provide a comprehensive picture of deaf people's use of the metaverse. This study included four participants: the village head of Tanjung Selamat Village, two people deaf and their families who are natives the village of Tanjung Selamat, and one metaverse user who are in the city of Medan. According to the findings of this study, the deaf in Tanjung Selamat Village have not been able to use metaverse to facilitate communication, but the seeds of technological progress have been used by the deaf, as evidenced by their use of an application to send messages as an easy way to communicate. On the other hand, there is great hope that technological advancements, particularly the metaverse, will reach all corners of the globe and be put to good use.

Abstract

The community currently does not understand the procedures or requirements for obtaining access to BPJS health services at the puskesmas which is caused by several things, both from the factors of the community's lace mindset and the lack of innovation in socializing these health services. As a result, the BPJS service process that has been designed becomes hampered and not optimal. This study aims to: 1) Know how the Communication Strategy carried out by BPJS Officers in Providing Health Services at Puskemas Tebing Syahbandar, 2) Know what are the obstacles to the Communication strategy carried out by BPJS Officers in Providing Health Services at Puskemas Tebing Syahbandar. The results of this study show that in delivering health service information to the public, BPJS officers have implemented communication strategies including: 1) Determining the Purpose and Object of Receiving Information; 2) Perform persuasive techniques in providing health service information; 3) Build Educational Communication. The obstacles experienced by BPJS officers include: 1) Obstacles in the process of delivering information that occurs because patients are more dominant elderly 2) Social obstacles caused by the existence of people who are difficult to socialize. Abstract

The research written is a research that raises the title of intercultural communication interaction between Javanese and Batak tribes in Medan City. This study has the aim of knowing the communication that exists between the Javanese and the Batak tribes in the city of Medan. The stages of intercultural communication, which will occur to the Javanese in the city of Medan and contain efforts to overcome the culture shock that will occur. The method that will be used in writing this research is qualitative by reading the literature on previous research that discusses culture shock. The results of this study will show that the Javanese will experience a moderate culture shock and have no significant effect on intercultural communication. This is because the Javanese quickly adapt and adjust to the interaction patterns that exist in the city of Medan. Based on previous research literature, he claimed to feel comfortable and safe living in the city of Medan compared to his own hometown, which made communication between one tribe and another run well and did not cause misunderstandings and harm others. Especially in this study, namely the Javanese tribe in the city of Medan. The influence of self-motivation and encouragement of interaction also affects the communication process that exists between the Javanese and the Batak tribes in the city of Medan. Friendships that exist in the campus environment, but not all Javanese want to make friends and interact with everyone, but Javanese people interact with all ethnic groups on campus, especially in the city of Medan. Abstract

Strategi Public Relations Masjid Ubudiyah Aulawiyah PTPN II Tanjung Morawa dalam menjaga Current Image Jamah sangat penting sekali bagi para jamaah dan masyarakat Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa. Karena dengan begitu dapat meberikan nilai positif bagi masjid dan juga memberikan dampak yang positif. Subjek bagaimana Strategi Humas Masjid Aulawiyah Ubudiyah PTPN II Tanjung Morawa berkontribusi dalam mempertahankan citra jamaah yang ada akan diteliti dalam penelitian ini dengan tujuan memberikan respon melalui proses perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan penilaian. Pada saat ini, sangat penting bagi jemaah dan orang-orang yang tinggal di Distrik Tanjung Morawa bahwa Masjid Ubudiyah Aulawiyah PTPN II Tanjung Morawa mempertahankan strategi hubungan masyarakat yang efektif untuk menjaga citra Jemaah. Metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif inilah yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini. Wawancara dan observasi adalah dua cara utama pengumpulan data dalam penyelidikan ini. Setelah mengumpulkan data, metode sosiologis diambil untuk mempelajarinya untuk lebih memahami fenomena yang terjadi di daerah tersebut. Teori yang dikembangkan oleh Frank Jefkins digunakan dalam penyelidikan ini. Teori Jefkins terdiri dari lima gambar hubungan masyarakat yang berbeda, salah satunya adalah citra perusahaan. Temuan penelitian tentang Strategi Humas Masjid Ubudiyah Aulawiyah PTPN II Tanjung Morawa dalam menjaga citra jamaah saat ini sesuai dengan teori yang digunakan, yang meliputi penggunaan beberapa strategi, yaitu Media Sosial (WhatsApp dan Facebook), Televisi, dan media lainnya seperti Spanduk, Baliho, dan Poster.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the communication patterns of librarians in overcoming vandalism behavior in the Medan Area University (UMA) library. And to find out the communication barriers of librarians in overcoming vandalism behavior in the Medan Area University (UMA) library. The theory used in this research is the librarian's interpersonal communication theory. This type of research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The results of this study can be seen that the communication relationship of librarians in overcoming the vandalism behavior is good and good, and they provide each other with feedback and assistance in overcoming the vandalism behavior. The form of communication that occurs between librarians at the Medan Area University Library is interpersonal communication, namely direct communication by means of face to face or not, the type of communication carried out at the Medan Area University Library is formal communication, usually holding meetings to discuss progress and problems in the library, communication characteristics at the Medan Area University Library, namely face to face communication, then messages can be conveyed through verbal and non-verbal communication symbols. different priorities and different opinions so that the message conveyed is not in accordance with what is expected. Abstract

This research discusses the results of cross-cultural communication discussions that took place in the Medan ARMY community regarding the femininity displayed by BTS. So we get the result that masculinity is BTS's gender identity displayed by the media regarding BTS' feminine appearance, giving rise to a reconstruction of femininity among fans and the wider community. In it there are differences in understanding what femininity and masculinity actually are and how they respond to each of them which becomes an obstacle in the process of cross-cultural communication that exists. According to fans, the rearrangement of the meaning of femininity displayed by BTS creates an alienation of local culture from global culture. The feminine appearance displayed by BTS is considered by Indonesian society to be a social deviation and has a negative impact on Indonesia's young generation. Social construction among Indonesian society regarding femininity and masculinity is a marker of someone's appearance as a gender identity, but this is denied by some groups who think that a person's appearance does not have to be limited by gender. A person has the right to look as comfortable as possible without having to be limited by social constructions that exist in society, as well as the formation of standards from various groups and environments.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana mahasiswa mempersepsikan isi konten review yang disampaikan oleh akun Tiktok @drrichardlee, kemudian penelitian ini ingin mengetahui pengaruh dan kandungan skincare terhadap persepsi mahasiswa khususnya komunikasi di Universitas Islam Negeri, Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Responden yang digunakan adalah 95 sampel dari seluruh mahasiswa ilmu komunikasi. Data menggunakan kuesioner dan studi kepustakaan. Teknik analisis data adalah analisis tabel tunggal. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah isi review content pada persepsi siswa mempunyai pengaruh atau pengaruh terhadap persepsi, melalui poin-poin pertanyaan yang meliputi baik isi konten skincare review yang disampaikan, maupun poin pertanyaan meliputi persepsi mahasiswa tentang ilmu komunikasi dengan koefisien korelasi yang diperoleh dari data yang terkumpul adalah 0,825 dengan signifikansi 0,00, karena signifikansi < 0,05, dapat dinyatakan bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Artinya ada pengaruh antara isi review skincare pada akun @drrichardle Tiktok terhadap persepsi mahasiswa ilmu komunikasi FIS UIN Sumatera Utara dapat dinyatakan bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Artinya ada pengaruh antara isi review skincare pada akun @drrichardle Tiktok terhadap persepsi mahasiswa ilmu komunikasi FIS UIN Sumatera Utara dapat dinyatakan bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Abstract

The printing industry has undergone significant transformation due to digital technology and changes in consumer behavior. CV. Haikommikom, a printing company, faces challenges in improving the quality of graphic design services and expanding its market. This research aims to analyze the influence of innovative marketing communication strategies on the improvement of graphic design service quality at CV. Haikommikom and evaluate customer perceptions of these service changes. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, collecting data through in-depth interviews and participatory observation. The results show that the implementation of marketing strategies through social media, personalized services with data analytics, and the use of advanced design technologies such as CorelDRAW and Photoshop significantly increase customer satisfaction and loyalty. Innovative marketing communication strategies have proven effective in improving the quality of graphic design services at CV. Haikommikom. The implementation of technology and personalized services not only increases customer satisfaction but also strengthens the company's position in the printing and graphic design industry. This finding underscores the importance of adapting technology and customer-focused marketing strategies to maintain competitiveness in the digital era.
