Abstract

Artikel  ini berupaya mengeksplor pemikiran pendidikan asy- Syauka>ni dalam menciptakan kebangkitan dan kemajuan bangsa (renaissance). Yaitu dengan memaparkan situasi yang terjadi di Yaman pada saat itu, dan bagaimana peran asy-Syauka>ni dalam upayanya membuat perubahan.  Penelitian  ini  menggunakan pendekatan analis sejarah, yaitu dengan memaparkan kejadian dan peristiwa yang terjadi semasa asy-Syauka>ni hidup, bagaimana kejadian ini berpengaruh padanya, dan bagaimana pula beliau memberi pengaruh pada masanya,  kemudian dianalisis. Penelitian ini sampai pada kesimpulan bahwa: (1) asy-Syauka>ni menyakini bahwa pendidikan memiliki   peran  besar  dalam memajukan bangsa,  (2)  Asy-Syauka>ni  memiliki  andil  besar dalam membangun kebangkitan dan renaissance yang terlihat dari analisa beliau atas kondisi yang menimpa bangsanya, dan upaya beliau untuk mengubahnya, dengan cara memasukkan ilmu-ilmu baru, pendidikan menyeluruh, dan menuntut diberlakukannya pendidikan untuk kaum hawa, (3) pemahaman tentang renaissance asy-Syauka>ni berbeda dengan renaissance Barat, yang mana agama tetap  tidak bertentangan dengan ilmu pengetahuan, bahkan menyuruh untuk berpikir karena menghomati akal. kata kunci: pemikiran, pendidikan, asy-Syauka>ni, renaissanceTHE EDUCATION THOUGHT OF AL-SHAWKAANI AND ITS ROLE IN CREATING A RENAISSANCE. This article attempts to explore the educational thought of Al-Shauka>ni in creating the rise and progress of Nations  (renaissance). By exposing the situation that happened in Yemen at the time, and how the role of Al-Shauka>ni in an attempt to make  the change. This research uses the approach of historical analysis, by exposing the events that occur during  Al- Shauka>ni life, how this incident was influential on him, and how he gave influence in his time, and then analyzed. The study came to the conclusion that: (1) Al-Shauka>ni believed that education has a major role in advancing the nation, (2) Al-Shawkaani has a major role in building the revival and renaissance which is seen from his analysis of the condition that afflicts his people, and his effort to change it, by instilling the new sciences, a thorough education, and demanded the enactment of the education for womenfolk, (3) an understanding of the renaissance of Al-Shauka>ni in contrast to the Western renaissance, which the religion does not conflict with science, even told he ordered the people to think honor the sense.Keywords:  educational thought, Al-Shauka>ni, renaissance

Abstract

The problem of social welfare becomes the theme which has been often to be discussed. This paper aims to describe the role of English Education as the solution of society’s welfare problem in Indonesia. English as an international language has become a compulsory subject in every level of education since last two decades. There are many advantages that can be gained by mastering English well, one of them is able to improve someone’s welfare level. One of the roles of English in increasing the Indonesian society’s welfare is English can be a potential provision in conducting entrepreneurship. In the other hand, it will increase their income. Besides, by having a good English mastery can facilitate them in gaining a better job.

Abstract

Pembelajaran bahasa Inggris di Indonesia mulai diterapkan di lembaga pendidikan anak usia dini sejak tahun 1990an. Salah satu lembaga pendidikan anak usia dini yang mengajarkan bahasa Inggris kepada peserta didiknya adalah Raudhatul Athfal. Ada berbagai metode yang dapat digunakan dalam mengajarkan bahasa Inggris kepada anak usia dini. Artikel ini berupaya membahas tentang penggunaan Alat Permainan Edukatif (APE) dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris sebagai upaya mengembangkan kecerdasan anak. Dengan menggunakan Alat Permainan Edukatif (APE) proses pengenalan bahasa Inggris dapat diserap dengan lebih mudah oleh peserta didik dan hal ini sekaligus dapat dijadikan sebagai upaya dalam mengembangkan kecerdasan anak. Khususnya dalam aspek kebahasaan, yaitu dalam menanamkan bekal penguasaan bahasa Inggris kepada anak usia dini.

Abstract

This article aims at describing the importance of introducing various English language learning strategies to university students. Although in Indonesia, English has been studied from the basic education level, but such learning assessed less successful. It can be seen from the average students’ English skills which is still very minimal. One factor that affects the less successful of English learning was the lack of students’ knowledge about the English learning strategies. The result of the literature review showed that by introducing various English learning strategies to university students there are plenty of benefits both for the university students and lecturers. One of the benefits is it can help the university students to do some efforts in achieving the better learning target. Besides, the lecturers are also able to use the more effective learning method that can be applied in the class.Keywords: the importance of the introduction, learning strategies, English.

Abstract

This research aims at identifying, classifying and analyzing the kinds of errors on the use of simple past tense in students’ final work. It is expected to help the lecturers in identifying the students’ most common error in language learning processes, especially in learning simple past tense. Several stages are done in this qualitative research, they are: preparation, data collection, and analyzing the data. As the preparation, the writer try to read some theories and previous studies related to this research. In analyzing the data, Ellis’ theory is used in this research. The techniques in analyzing the data are: identification of error, classification, description, and correction. The result of this research shows that there are four kinds of errors made by students, they are omission 13%, addition 5%,misinformation 31%,and misordering 5%. They mostly make errors in the misinformation of irregular past verb in using The Simple Past Tense.

Abstract

This study is a qualitative descriptive research which aimed at exploring the challenges and strategies in teaching English at IAIN Kudus in millennial era. The informants of this research were the English lecturers in IAIN Kudus and the third semester students of English Study Program Tarbiyah Faculty of IAIN Kudus. The result of this study showed that the English lecturers faced some challenges in teaching English at IAIN Kudus in Millennial era. The challenges were related to technology, personal behaviors, mentoring, and communication. In facing those challenges, the English lecturers applied some strategies such as determining the specific time in accessing technology during the class, determining the allowed and unallowed attitudes that can be done in the process of English teaching-learning, giving mentoring to the students, and creating good communication with the students.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang permusuhan Iblis kepada Adam,yang bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan track record Iblisdalam menyesatkan manusia. Iblis adalah salah satu pemeranantagonis dalam berbagai peristiwa yang terjadi di dunia ini,segala yang diasumsikan sebagai kejadian dan tindakan buruksering kali dialamatkan kepada iblis. Di sinilah penulis mencobamenggunakan pisau analisis critical of historis dan content ofanalism hasilnya adalah terkuaknya berbagai peran Iblis terkaitpermusahan abadinya dengan Nabi Adam yang berimbas kepadakutukan Iblis terhadap Adam yang akan menjerumuskan semuaketurunan Adam ke jalan kesesatan. Iblis akan selalu berusahauntuk membuat manusia lupa dari mengingat Allah. Segalaupaya Iblis dalam menyesatkan manusia akan menjadi tantanganuntuk melawan hegemoninya dengan senantiasa memaksimalkanpotensi manusia berupa akal dan hati agar memiliki kesadaranuntuk tetap berada di jalan yang lurus.
