Abstract

Abstrak             Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja irigasi pada daerah irigasi Batu merah Kecamatan Kupang Timur Kabupaten Kupang, Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah Metode Deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian kinerja irigasi pada daerah irigasi Batu merah Kecamatan Kupang timur Kabupaten Kupang menunjukan bahwa. Jaringan irigasi batu merah mendistribuskan air sebesar 2.187 Ha area lahan persawahan yang telah di fungsikan. Sedangkan total pendistribusian air irigasi pada jaringan irigasi batu merah sebesar 2.712. Kinerja jaringan irigasi dari aspek Kondisi Prasarana fisik, Produktifitas Tanaman, Sarana Penunjang Organisasi Personalia, Dokumentasi dan Kondisi P3A menunjukan bahwa kinerja jaringan irigasi sebesar 80%. Kondisi eksisting pada jaringan irigasi telah mengalami kerusakan pada saluran sehingga air tidak mengalir secara baik.Kata Kunci: Penilaian,Kinerja Irigasi Batu Merah

Abstract

Maize is one of the carbohydrate and protein-producing food crops besides rice. Along with the development of the food and feed industries, the demand for corn continues to increase. The limiting factor in increasing corn productivity is the attack of plant disrupting organisms, especially pests. This study aims to determine the abundance of arthropods in corn crops and group them based on their roles, as well as analyse the effect of cultivation practises on arthopod abundance. The research was conducted in Situ Gede Village, Bogor District, West Bogor City, West Java. The research was conducted from March to May 2019. Observations of arthropods in corn plants were conducted regularly starting from the vegetative phase, namely 3 weeks after planting (WAP), 5 WAP, and 7 WAP, until the generative phase (before corn harvest). Sampling of arthropods was done by observing them directly (In situ), using Pitfall traps, and using insect nets (Sweep net). The results showed that in the vegetative stage, the herbivorous insects found were armyworms (Spodoptera litura) and grasshoppers (Oxya sp.), while in the generative phase, corn borer (Helicoverpa armigera) and corn stem borer (Ostrinia furnicalis) dominated. In addition to pests, natural enemies, especially predators, were spiders, ants, and beetles. Based on their role, the composition of arthropods starts with the most predators (41%), herbivores (29%), parasitoids (6%), and other insects (24%). The abundance of arthropods is also determined by farmers' cultivation practices. The more diverse the commodities, the higher the arthropod abundance. Polyculture systems tend to have higher arthropod abundance than monoculture. Key words: arthropods, maize, natural enemies, predators

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify potentials and problems in agriculture. The method used in this research is an exploratory descriptive approach. The results showed that Wolomeze District, Ngada Regency has potential in agriculture and has an area of 818.49 ha of agricultural land for rice plants and an average production of 3140.95 tons/ha, corn area of 322.4 ha with an average – the average production is 136.573 tons/ha, peanuts have a land area of 18.85 ha with a total production of 26.19 ha, cassava has a land area of 24.75 ha with a total production of 168 tons/ha, chili plants have a land area of 1,325 Ha and has a total production of 1,225 tons/ha. Problems in agriculture are climate change and the availability of water, fertilizers that affect the results of agricultural production that is not good. One alternative in efforts to solve problems in agriculture is to optimally prepare land, fertilizers and the availability of technology in the soil processing process. Keywords: Potential and Agricultural Problems of Rice, Corn, Cassava, and ChiliINTISARITujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi potensi dan masalah di bidang pertanian. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan deskriptif eksploratif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di Kecamatan Wolomeze Kabupaten Ngada memiliki potensi di bidang pertanian dan memiliki luas lahan pertanian tanaman padi sebesar 818,49 ha dan dengan rata – rata produksi yaitu 3140,95 ton/ha, jagung luas luas lahan 322,4 Ha dengan rata – rata produksi 136,573 ton/ha, kacang tanah memiliki luas lahan 18,85 ha dengan jumlah produksi 26,19 ha, ubi kayu memiliki luas lahan sebesar 24,75 ha dengan jumlah produksi sebesar 168 ton/ha, tanaman cabai memiliki luas lahan sebesar 1,325 Ha dan memiliki jumlah produksi sebesar 1,225 ton/ha. Masalah dibidang pertanian adalah perubahan iklim serta ketersediaan air, pupuk sehingga mempengaruhi hasil produksi pertanian yang kurang baik. Salah satu alternatif dalam upaya pemecahan masalah di bidang pertanian adalah mempersiapkan lahan secara optimal, pupuk serta ketersediaan teknologi dalam proses pengolahan tanah. Kata kunci : Potensi dan Permasalahan Pertanian Padi, jagung, Ubi kayu, dan Cabai
